👉I’ve always believed in the power of simplicity, and that philosophy extends to your diet. We’ve all been told to load our plates with a rainbow of foods. But when it comes to digestion, LESS really IS MORE.
🥗Instead of piling your plate high with a chaotic mix of foods, focus on a Balanced Trio. Combine a single carbohydrate – like rice, roti, or millet – with a protein source – such as dairy, meat, lentils, or soy – and a couple of vegetables or a fresh salad. This simple approach makes it easier for your body to break down food because it is secreting lower variety of enzymes.
👉Picture the traditional Indian meal: rice, roti, dal, yogurt, pickle, and multiple vegetables. While it might be delicious, it’s a complex challenge for your digestive enzymes. By simplifying your meals, you’re giving your body a much-needed break.
🥚🍞🥑🥦Introduce VARIETY throughout the day!
Experiment with different combinations throughout the day. Enjoy an egg for breakfast, yogurt for lunch, and chicken for dinner. The key is to AVOID combining these elements in a SINGLE MEAL.
