This is the restaurant that really opened my eyes to the possibilities of what plant-based cooking could be when I first when vegan, so this is a full circle moment for me 🥹

✨ When: Wednesday April 9th; two seatings at 6 pm and at 830 pm

✨ Where: Avant Garden, 95 Avenue A 2nd floor, New York, NY 10009

✨ About the event: Come hang out in Avant Garden’s beautiful new space (swipe for photos) and enjoy a fine dining tasting menu complete with 5 courses + dessert. The menu is crafted from my cookbook, Big Vegan Flavor, and each ticket includes a copy of the book! I’ll be there the whole evening to chat with y'all 🥳

What a year it's been! We started off 2024 by launching our meal plan subscription, then my cookbook in September. It's been a roller coaster but a very rewarding roller coaster!

Thank you for watching our videos, for making my recipes, for supporting my cookbook, for sending us kind emails, and just for being here! Max and I want to wish you a restful (and of course delicious) holiday season and new year.

These deluxe Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookies just hit the blog!

I teased these cookies last year, but then life got busy and I didn’t have time to write a proper post, but they’re finally here, and just in time for cookie season!

🍪 Tons of research and baking science went into these because I wanted to share the *ultimate* cookie experience with you, the kind that makes you close your eyes while you’re eating because it’s that good.

👩🏽‍🔬 We tested nearly every variable under the sun, from different egg and butter substitutes to differing oven temperatures & rest times to the difference between chocolate chips and chopped chocolate (scroll to see just a few of the tests).

The result is a grown-up chocolate chip cookie that:

✔️Is soft and gooey in the middle
✔️Has crispy edges
✔️Is wonderfully chewy

After a few very busy months (and years), I am enjoying my sloth era 🦥 (which is really just hanging out with family & friends, spending time in the sunshine, and devouring novels).

We're currently in San Francisco for one final cookbook signing event, but we will be back soon with new videos!

Big Vegan Flavor is a New York Times bestseller!! This photo was taken shortly after I told my parents 🥰

Making bestseller lists was not a goal of mine (I’m more of a process gal than an outcome gal), but I have to admit that seeing this 600-page behemoth dedicated to celebrating vegan cooking at #3 on the list was pretty freakin cool.

So thank you to this incredible community for making that happen, for your enthusiasm for big vegan flavor, and for being here.

And while it is exciting news, my heart was already full from seeing YOU excited about the book! Cooking from the book! Making recipes from the book for dinner parties and for neighbors in need and to meal prep lunches for work and to feed your families 🥹
