Truth about THE NAME OF JESUS
–
Many believers pray in the name of Jesus.

They think it's used to start prayers or end
prayers.

But the truth is, many people don’t truly understand the power behind that name.

And here’s the reality:

If you don’t understand the power behind a spiritual weapon, you won’t be able to use it effectively.

So let’s start with Scripture.

The Bible says, “At the name of Jesus, every knee should bow…” (Philippians 2:10).

Notice, it didn’t say “at the mention" of the name of Jesus.

It says “at the name of Jesus.”

That word “at” is very important.
It speaks of representation.

Let me explain.

If a governor sends you to deliver a speech on his behalf, when you stand there and speak, you are not just speaking as yourself.

You are speaking in the name of the governor. You're speaking AS the governor.

That means:

Your words carry his authority.

Your promises carry his backing.

Your voice represents him.

In the same way, when you go in the name of Jesus, you are not just speaking ordinary words.

You are representing Jesus Himself.

That means whatever you say, it is as if Jesus is the one saying it.

Now, this is where it gets even deeper.

The Bible says that after Jesus resurrected, God gave Him a name above every other name (Philippians 2:9).

This is not just talking about the word “Jesus.”

It is talking about rank… authority… and dominion.

Think about it.

In a country, there are different names:

President
Governor
Mayor
Councillor

Each name carries a different level of authority.

The higher the name, the greater the power behind it.

The president’s name carries more authority than every other office.

Now imagine this…

God gave Jesus a name above every name.

That means:

Above sickness.
Above demons.
Above poverty

Above every power in existence.

So when you speak in the name of Jesus, you are speaking with the highest authority in existence.

You are not begging.
You are not trying.
You are enforcing authority.

This changes everything.

When you cast out devils…
You are doing it as if Jesus Himself is standing there.

When you pray for the sick…
You are doing it as if Jesus is laying hands on them.

When you pray to God…
You are coming as one who represents Jesus.

That is the power in His name.
And when you truly understand this, your prayer life will change.

You will stop praying weak prayers.
You will stop doubting.
You will start speaking with confidence, authority, and results.

Because now, you know who you represent.

Is there anything you can't pray for?

There’s a question many believers don’t ask… but it matters:

Is there anything you shouldn’t pray for?

Some people believe certain areas don’t need prayer.

They pray about spiritual growth…
But ignore their finances.

They pray about protection…
But don’t pray about their children.

They trust God for big things…
But leave the “small” areas of life uncovered.

That’s a mistake.

The Bible says:
“In everything… let your requests be made known to God.”

That means nothing in your life is too small or too unimportant to pray about.

Your health.
Your business.
Your family.
Your decisions.

God wants to be involved in all of it.

But here’s the balance many people miss…

It’s not just about praying for everything—
It’s about praying the right way.

Scripture makes it clear:

- God answers prayers that align with His will
- God responds to a sincere and right heart

So yes… bring everything to God.

But don’t pray carelessly.
Pray with understanding.
Pray with alignment.
Pray with intention.

Because when you do…

You close every door the enemy could use.

You stop leaving areas of your life exposed.

And you begin to walk in the covering, protection, and help that God has already made available to you.
