Avoid this spiritual trap

There are many spiritual traps that agents of darkness use to attack believers, especially Christians who are unaware and unprepared.
The Bible warns us plainly:
“Lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices.” (2 Corinthians 2:11)
One of the most common traps is offense.
When a believer is well-covered and walking uprightly, the enemy often changes strategy.
Instead of open attacks, he or she tries to provoke offense. Usually through anger.
Someone says something.
Someone does something.
And the goal is simply to get you offended.
Jesus Himself warned us:
“Woe to the world because of offenses! For offenses must come…” (Matthew 18:7)
The danger of offense is that it dulls discernment. Anger rises. Negative words are spoken. And Scripture tells us that our words carry power.
“Death and life are in the power of the tongue.” (Proverbs 18:21)
Once anger is allowed to linger, it can open a door.
“Be angry, and do not sin: do not let the sun go down on your wrath, nor give place to the devil.” (Ephesians 4:26–27)
This is why the Bible repeatedly calls believers to vigilance.
“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” (1 Peter 5:8)
Offense is just one of many spiritual traps believers fall into often without realizing it.
