Reply the Devil

One principle many believers do not understand or practice is the principle of replying the devil.
In the Kingdom of God, one of the ways God's power is released is through your words.
Your mouth is not just a physical body part. It's a spiritual weapon.
Whenever the enemy speaks something contrary to God's Word, your responsibility is to answer him with the Word of God.
Throughout Scripture, we see that those who replied the enemy with God's Word experienced victory.
Consider David.
When Goliath stood before Israel, cursing and threatening God's people, David did not remain silent.
He replied with words of faith and declared God's verdict over the situation.
"You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts..." (1 Samuel 17:45).
David answered Goliath before he defeated him.
His victory was first established in his words and then manifested on the battlefield.
Then we have the greatest example, Jesus Himself.
When Satan tempted Him in the wilderness, Jesus did not engage in arguments. He did not remain silent.
Three times He answered with the same phrase:
"It is written."
The devil spoke. Jesus replied with Scripture.
The same principle applies to us today.
When the enemy whispers fear into your mind, reply with God's Word.
When he says, "You will fail," reply with God's promise.
When he says, "You are alone," reply with God's assurance.
When he says, "Nothing will change," reply with what God has spoken concerning your life.
Even when an agent of darkness threatens you, reply with the word.
Do not allow the enemy to have the final word.
Speak the Word in prayer.
Speak it as a declaration.
Speak it as a confession.
Speak it into your situation.
Speak it into the atmosphere.
The Word of God is the sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:17), and a sword is only effective when it is used.
But there is something important to remember:
You cannot reply the devil with Scriptures you do not know.
That is why daily Bible study is essential.
So ensure you read the Word. Meditate on it. Memorize it. Store it in your heart.
Build a collection of Scriptures for every area of your life:
âś…Scriptures for protection
âś…Scriptures for healing
âś…Scriptures for finances
âś…Scriptures for guidance
âś…Scriptures for victory in spiritual warfare.
Then when the enemy attacks, you will have a ready answer.

Our weapon for spiritual warfare

One weapon of defence and attack as believers is the sword of the Spirit.
In Ephesians chapter 6, Paul explained that the sword of the Spirit is the Word of God.
But the Word only becomes powerful in your life when it moves beyond the pages of the Bible and enters your heart.
It is not just about quoting random scriptures.
The scriptures that truly carry power in your life are the ones you have read, meditated on, and believed deeply.
Think about this:
When pressure suddenly comes…
When fear attacks your mind…
When bad news appears…
What comes out of your mouth first?
That response reveals the Word that is truly inside you.
The Word in your heart is the Word you can use in battle.
That is why every believer must do two important things:
🟢Read the Word daily.
🟢Meditate on the Word daily.
As you do this consistently, scriptures begin to enter your heart.
They become spiritual weapons you can use against fear, temptation, discouragement, anxiety, and every attack of the enemy.
Many spiritual battles begin in the mind.
But when the Word of God is already inside you, you can answer those attacks immediately with truth.
Jesus Himself showed us this during His temptation in the wilderness. Every attack of the enemy was answered with, “It is written.”
This is why it's important for believers to study the Word, meditate on it, and fill their heart with it daily.
That is how you become spiritually strong and stable.
