Dragons dogma 2 needed a dodge/roll/trade system or mechanic unique to each classes or vocation. For example, although the fighter has defense with shield there still needed a dodge or roll mechanic for when you get crowded or jumped. Especially by enemies like the goblin that can jump at you from a distance or like when your fighting bosses like the minotaur that bull charges at you. If your the archer or the thief its very hard to dodge the bull rush charge from a minitour. The next thing that was needed was a targeting system combined with the free aim that it has so you can select and prioritize enemies that need to be eliminated Instead of it just be based of which enemy is closer or by chance. Theses are common sense mechanics that should have been added to this game. Try playing this without your pawns and you will find out or see what I'm saying
Before you Dragon Dogmas fan boys get mad in your feelings I love the game but I'm gonna give my honest critiques or opinion's based on my experience playing the game. I would have accepted this in dragon dogma 1 because at that time there was lack of technology and the consoles was not as powerful but there is no excuse for it in 2024 with Xbox series x. With the modern game environment we have the devs of this game could have found a way to integrate a dodge or evade mechanic as well as a targeting system.
