Shimla – the Queen of Hills!

Sitting at around 2,276 meters, this iconic hill station was once the summer capital of British India, and you can still feel that old colonial charm in its streets, churches and architecture.

Built across seven hills and surrounded by pine and deodar forests, Shimla is all about peaceful views and slow moments. From the busy Mall Road and the Ridge to the scenic Kalka–Shimla toy train, every corner has its own vibe.

The city is lively throughout the year, with its famous ice skating rink and seasonal festivals adding to the experience.

At the top of it all is Jakhu Temple 🙏
Located at the highest point (around 2,455 meters), this place is known for its massive 108-feet tall Hanuman statue, visible from almost everywhere in Shimla. It’s believed that Lord Hanuman stopped here while searching for the Sanjeevani herb, making it a place of deep spiritual value.

The climb might take some effort, but the 360° view and peaceful vibe at the top make it completely worth it.

Best time to visit:
March to June for pleasant weather ☀️
December to February for snowfall ❄️
