In the third news post about the upcoming update of our Highway Killer, we will return to the exterior model and talk about the accessories that will become available in the new version of the truck. If you missed the first two posts, we recommend checking them out, as we already discussed some of the major changes to the mod.

Speaking of accessories, let's start by saying that since the truck model is completely new, aside from some chassis elements, very little remains from the old accessories. The new model has new dimensions and geometry, and instead of adjusting the old, many tuning elements have also been reworked, but we'll still focus primarily on the completely new elements.

The front of the truck has a lot that's new, but the first thing that catches the eye is probably the headlights. It's worth noting right away that in this mod, similar to our 389 Glider and Classic XL, we've switched to a modular system, where you can select the body, headlight module, glasses, and headlight visors separately. And, as you've already noticed, a new module has been added in two versions, and in addition to the usual clear or ribbed glass options, a defroster option has been added. As you can see from some of the latest screenshots, the option to install W900A headlights on a standard hood has also been added.

The headlight decor surround has also been updated, and its selection has expanded significantly. This applies, in fact, to the entire front hood trim: bug shields on the top and sides have been added in a variety of designs, both in form factor and finish; the decorative insert under the radiator grille, covering the gap between grille and the bumper, is now available in several variants, not just one. The front fender outers are also all new: there are now five of them, not three, and all are made to a higher quality.

Moving further into the cabin, you'll notice new air filter guards, as well as the option to replace the standard black rubber seals on the windshield and other windows with partial or full chrome options.

Forgotten about the radiator grilles? Not at all, but we can now talk about them in conjunction with the air filter meshes. This is because, in addition to several new grille bar options, various new mesh options have been added, the same designs as the air filter meshes, allowing you to style these elements in a consistent manner.

The front door windows feature a large number of new chops options. A similar accessory will also be available when you choose to have a window on the rear wall of the sleeper.

Furthermore, the rear wall now features a wide variety of grab handles in various locations, the ability to install light bulbs in any order and quantity, and a wide variety of APU.

In addition to the new rear fender options, which will also be available in various finishes, the logo for the existing Hogebuilt fenders will be changeable, as can be seen in the screenshots.
That's all the basics, unless we've forgotten anything. We might cover a few more little details in future posts, but you're now familiar with the bulk of the new accessories.

You can, of course, see them in the video:

And the topic of the next post is probably already clear to those who took a close look at the last screenshot!

Today we'll be discussing the interior of the upcoming KW's update, and let's be clear that this isn't the last post dedicated to this aspect of the mod in the current news cycle.

In this post, we'll explore the changes to the modern version of the interior, which has been completely reworked again. Yes, this isn't the first time we've written about this, even in relation to this mod, but we're advancing our skills every year and want to implement them as quickly as possible.

This interior was simply redesigned in some places for better optimization and more precise dimensions and shapes, while in others places it was completely reworked from scratch. And as you might have guessed from the increased emphasis on the sleepers, it's there that the biggest changes occurred.

We've done our best to study all the features of real sleepers of this model and bring it to life in our mod. This affected both the basic geometry of this interior, which takes into account all the unique features of its shape and various small details such as fasteners, plugs, and other elements, as well as the customization and personalization options.

You've often written to us about your appreciation for the interior configuration system on our newer models, such as the Cascadia and Coronado, where almost every interior element, including upholstery materials and colors, can be selected independently. Now, this system is also implemented in this model. Furthermore, in addition to the option to choose color schemes, we've added a more affordable option with vertical stripes to the existing quilted upholstery option.

In addition to color and molding choices, design options will also be available, such as the presence or absence of a sunroof in the front of the cabin and the presence or absence of a window in the rear wall. The window/door option on the side of the sleeper was already mentioned in the previous post, and this one should have showcased the curtains for the window version, but they weren't included in today's screenshots. However, the upper curtains are clearly visible, and it will also be accessible both folded and unfolded. Moreover, the curtain between the front of the cabin and the sleeper can now be closed too!

For the bed, there will be a choice of over 30 linen options, available in both solid colors and with various patterns, such as flags, road maps, a sketch of the truck model itself, and more. The sofa in the largest Studio Sleeper can be folded or unfolded, as demonstrated in the screenshots. The option to remove the upper berth hasn't been forgotten, which is also visible in a couple of shots.

But let's not forget the front of the cabin, which we spend most of our time looking at. There are quite a few changes here, too, ranging from the same refinements to dimensions and shape features to new accessories. Previously, only certain dashboard elements were available for customization, but now literally everything is available, regardless of one another. This is clearly visible in the latest screenshots, which demonstrate various combinations of dashboard elements.

And, as you've probably already noticed, interior options for automatic transmissions have been added (with the animated selector, which unfortunately isn't possible with a manual transmission).

In short, there's plenty of interior content we could do, but it all won't fit in one post. The video at the link will show a bit more:
youtube.com/shorts/_wC1HDjGUCo

As we told before, this isn't all we have to show you about interiors. However, next week we'll take a short break from this aspect and return to the exterior model, where we'll take a closer look at the new accessories. Then, in a post or two, we'll talk again about the interior nuances of the new version of the mod!

It's time to begin a full review of the upcoming update for one of your favorite trucks from our collection - the KW W900 Highway Killer!

This update is one of the most extensive we've ever done for any of our trucks. Not only does it introduce a significant amount of new features, but also because the vast majority of what was already featured in the mod has been completely reworked and rebuilt from the scratch.

The new version will be similar in essence to the recent update of our 362 Cabover: just like here, everything related to the cabs has been reworked. Here, too, only the frames and some chassis accessories remain untouched; everything else is completely new.

The cabs, hoods, and most accessories, remodeled from scratch, feature higher quality execution and more accurate dimensions and shapes. We have to admit that previous models had quite a few inaccuracies, with the hoods being the most inaccurate in their dimensions. Now, the dimensions are correct everywhere, and the hoods have that desired slope at the front.

In addition to the rework, many factory options and various small details have been added. For example, the choice of a sleeper door (solid or with two types of windows), upper window options (with or without partitions), a choice of a passenger door with or without a blind-spot window, and an optional step light are just some of the new features.

And the fact that in the new version there will be a limited edition Legacy available is already evident from the front bumper, muffler, and other distinctive elements.

Here's our traditional short video on the topic of this post:
youtube.com/shorts/r3qFghEiuh8

Share in the comments what else you noticed in today's screenshots and video. Just in case, we'll mention that since this is a really big update, and we want to showcase as many new features as possible, there will be a few more news posts than usual before the release. And trust us, we'll have plenty to surprise you with!

Let's start our return to the news feed with a review of a small update to our Flarepack (Trucks & Trailers Flares), which is available with any of our ATS mods.

In fact, the new version was already uploaded a couple of days ago, so if you've downloaded mods in the past few days, you've probably noticed in the mod manager that your flarepack version is now 41.0. However, today version 41.1 has become available with some fixes, which we recommend using.

At first glance, there's so much new in it, as, again, this isn't a full update to this add-on (and a full one will definitely be coming in the foreseeable future), but there are some things to note.

As you can see from the screenshots, all-white lamps are now available for installation! Previously, some lamps were available with transparent glass, but it still glowed orange. Now, there's an additional option that also glows white.

This applies to almost any lamp model featured in the pack: from simple ones to watermelon; both standard and LED versions. This also applies to roof lights on trucks, as well as to the lights on all our trailers.

There are some minor exceptions, such as those for the mirror-mounted lights on trucks, as well as some other mounting locations where the lights are not connected to the flarepack but directly to the truck or trailer. While a similar white option may not be available for these locations yet, it will be added in the near future.

Also, for the rear of trucks, where light installation is available in any order via the red spots, new options have been added, featuring different light shapes and colors: white, blue, green, and purple.

If you've installed the updated version of the Flarepack, but the light is orange instead of white (and you've made sure you installed the white bulbs labeled "White," not the orange ones with clear glass labeled "Clear"), it's likely that you're not using the latest version of the truck.

As a reminder, you can always find the all info about the latest versions of all mods on our website:

And as always, a little more content in a short video:

Another important note: we've returned the "Convoy Fix" to the DLC Wrecker files, as the issue when attempting to take on the same cargo remains. Activate it if you're playing "Convoy" mode.

And, as you might have guessed, our KW's appearance in today's post is no coincidence – this truck is next in line for the update, which has been in development for a while now.

So, we'll start getting to know it in the next post, don't miss it!

The release of Update 2.0 for our DLC Wrecker went smoothly, without any issues or obvious bugs. However, if you encounter any, please be sure to report it to us via direct messages.

Now, let's talk about a few nuances that may have caused some confusion for users of the new version.

First, as many immediately realized, but still asked us about it, the fix for the "Convoy" mode (DLC Wrecker Convoy Fix) is no longer required.
In the 1st version of the mod, it was required for proper operation in multiplayer mode, but during testing of version 2.0, we discovered that everything worked correctly without it. Therefore, this file is no longer included in the downloadable archive.

Second, of course, are the new "cargo" items - tractor-trailer combinations.
Not all users were able to find them right away. As a reminder, you can select "cargo" for the tow truck in the "Freight Market" menu. You can use the search bar in the top right and enter "Wrecker" for old or "Wrecker Double" for the new cargoes. If you get no results for this search, try sleeping in the game a few times to allow the cargo to generate.

The third and least common issue is crashes with the new version.
This is fairly straightforward – all of them were related to outdated files for the mod being activated. These files could also include various third-party mods, such as skins for the Wrecker, which included not only the paint files themselves but also the full def folder from the outdated version, causing the crash.

We also remind you that all our mods work correctly on the new game version 1.58, but only if you have the latest versions installed.
You can always check it on our website:

Let's get straight to the point!
Yes, as many have already guessed from the previous post, our DLC Wrecker update will add the ability to transport tractor-trailer combinations.
This was your most requested suggestion, and we didn't put it off for long.

Despite the seemingly simple nature of this feature, it took longer than even we anticipated, as the specifics of the DLC Wrecker meant that not everything worked as expected, for example, as with regular double trailer combinations. We had to work through some issues, but in the end, as tests show, everything worked perfectly and functions as expected.

The towed truck and trailer are connected with its own movable electrical and air lines and the "Tow Mate" (a wireless light bar that duplicates the vehicle's lighting signals) is relocatable from the truck to the trailer.

The same truck models previously available for single towing are used in towable trailers, while seven new trailer models have been added: two types of refrigerated trucks (of varying lengths), tanker (not included in the screenshots), dumper, logger, lowboy and flatbed. All trailers, like the previous trucks, have multiple paint options. Each trailer will be available in combination with each tractor.

Therefore, in the update, we now have over 1,500 (yes, one and a half thousand) new towing combinations. The likelihood of encountering the same trailer for towing twice is virtually zero. And the problem of finding "cargo" for towing is also almost eliminated.

Already eager to give it a try? We understand!
You just need only a little patience, because the release is just around the corner.

Here's a short video demonstrating what we've described in more detail:

See you at the release!

Finally, time to move on to more detailed news!
As you may recall, after the recent update to our Adwin Stam, we mentioned returning to our "ATS Garage".

As you may have guessed, this is the first full update to our "DLC Wrecker" released last year - the mod that marked a conceptually new direction in our lineup, representing a "mod for mods".

As a reminder, when we released this add-on, it was compatible with most, but not all of our ATS trucks. However, within the first year, we completed a full adaptation of our entire truck lineup, and now the towing can be used with absolutely any of our ATS trucks, with the exception, of course, of our Pickup.

By the way, for Pickup truck enthusiasts - we have some good news for you too, coming soon, even before the scheduled update for our current truck of this type.

Returning to the Wrecker, we'd like to point out that due to the specific peculiarities of this mod, namely the need for compatibility with all of our trucks, not all of your requests are feasible. There are also some things that can be implemented, but are very labor-intensive, which will require more time in the future.

However, in this update, we're implementing the most popular of your suggestions. We'll cover this in more detail in the next, full-fledged news post. However, attentive viewers may already have seen what we're talking about.
Following on from the previous post, we'd like to point out that all of our ATS trucks are now compatible with the Jaspery lightpack! We know this author's mods are also popular, so we've worked together to make our mods as compatible as possible.

As a reminder, over the past few days, we've released several minor updates to all of our trucks and additional files (including for this compatibility), so we recommend you make sure your versions are up-to-date.
You can do this on our website:

See you in the news about the DLC Wrecker!

Dear Friends, as many of you have already seen, beta of 1.58 game versions have been released for both American Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2.

Despite many speculations that this update would significantly affect mod functionality, this theory has not been confirmed, and so far we can see that all our trucks and trailers work without any issues in the new version of both games.

However, if you encounter any issues that you believe haven't occurred before, please let us know via direct messages.

We've also been making some changes to truck lighting settings over the past couple of weeks, including updating the Flarepack. In version 40.0, we discovered an issue where the lights on the Tanker from our USA Trailer Pack turned white. So, yesterday we released a small fix that includes changes to both the trailer itself and the Flarepack. After installing the update, the trailer may be missing body parts. To resolve this issue, please visit the service center and reselect the chassis and body.

In general, all of these changes were aimed at improving the performance of the lighting components in our Flarepack, as well as improving compatibility with other light packs. Those who also use 3rd-party mods have probably already figured out what we're talking about. But if you're still unsure what's going on, please be patient and wait a bit, as we need some more time to fine-tune the settings.

Stay tuned and you won't miss a thing!

And if you missed somehow, we remind you that we recently released an update for our Adwin Stam. Here are some recent videos featuring it:
