Today marks the end of another great year! I hope you all had a wonderful 2025. Today was also my birthday!! I always think it’s so special having your birthday on the last day of the year! Going into the new year whilst also turning another year older is just so fitting, and helps me to mark the end of the previous year and go forward into a brand new year with new hopes and goals!

Speaking of goals, I have a very fitting video out tomorrow at 4:00 P.M. EST 💞 see you all there!! 😊

💞 thoughts from my Bible study 💞

I think there comes a time when merely reflecting on our sin becomes unprofitable. Is it leading us to Christ? Are we using our awareness as a false humility to avoid sanctification, believing that we are better than another, due to that awareness? Is our hope in recognition alone? No. It is in the mercy of God. At some point our life must cease from mere acknowledgement of the fallen state of man, and declare from the highest roof the goodness of God. The goodness that doesn’t show us who we are, or who we were, and leave us there without hope. Our God is greater than that. He changes our hearts so that our actions may follow. He doesn’t leave the thief in a state of hopelessness where his only means of hope is to steal for his next meal. He doesn’t leave the drug addict to be a slave to their addiction, without offering His strength. He doesn’t leave the repentant cheater with unchecked lust, that cannot be overcome. That isn’t the God of the Bible. The God of scripture is one of power to deliver, and power to save, and power to transform. The gospel doesn’t leave us as we were, it redeems us into a new creation in Christ.

Anyone else still eating Christmas dinner leftovers?

I didn’t have turkey leftover but I made chicken and stuffing in the crockpot, you add your chicken breasts, plain Greek yogurt or sourcream, better than bouillon or chicken broth, chopped carrots, garlic and green beans, and had leftover potatoes and cranberry sauce, and gravy. So yummy.

Hey friends!!

How was your Christmas!? If you celebrate I hope you had a wonderful Christmas with your family and friends! Yesterday I took all the Christmas decorations down, except for outside because I’m choosing to enjoy the lights for a little longer. 😊😏 now I’m in house reset mode before we start back up with our homeschool. I probably won’t have any videos until the new year now, but I thought I’d try to stay active on here and write some posts in the meantime!

I hope you are all having a great week! Feel free to let me know in the comments how your Christmas was, and what you’re up to now that the Christmas season is coming to an end!

I took down the stockings today, and some of the decorations but the tree is still up and the lights outside. I’ll probably leave it until after New Years. It’s so cozy and pretty! 😍

James 4:7

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

If you are actively trying to live for Jesus and walk in His ways, the enemy will try to come along and whisper things into your ear. Maybe you’ve stayed away from something for a long time, or maybe you’ve forgiven someone who has hurt you, and he will come along and whisper “do that again, just one more time won’t hurt. You’ve been so good lately.” Or “remember that person really hurt you. Remember what they said. They hate you. Don’t take that from them!” He is sneaky. He knows our weaknesses and isn’t afraid to prey on us through our flesh, and our challenges and insecurities. The devil studies us. He isn’t stupid as some believe. If that were the case, he wouldn’t have been able to convince a portion of the angels to disobey God with him. The only victory Satan gets on this earth is in the form of who he drags down to the bottom with him. Don’t let that person be you. RESIST the devil and he will flee. Resist is an action word, it’s something we actively choose to do. When those lies come into your mind, do not heed them. Do not listen. Rebuke them with the truth from God’s word. Here is a verse for you to remember when these things come:

1 Corinthians 10:13

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

This is directly from the word of God. The truth is that no temptation is too much for us to endure. He will always provide a means of escape. Call on Him when you’re struggling, He is faithful and won’t leave us to handle it alone.
