Meet Candace Cobb!
"My name is Candace Cobb, and I started painting late in my life and have fully embraced watercolor as my medium of choice. For the most part, it's landscapes (and trees!) that call to me, and that's evident in most of my work. I use ArtistAssistApp every single time I paint.
Some of the best features? I love the grid that helps me with my sketch. I paint in unusual sizes sometimes, and it can be challenging to find the horizon and get all the pieces where I want them. The grid helps a lot. The other thing I often do is white balance. I like how it brings dark areas of a reference into sharper focus so I can include them if I want to. Also, sometimes it completely changes the temperature of a reference, and I get a whole different vibe!
Love the app, thanks for making it part of my journey."

Meet Jennifer Allwright!
"My name is Jen, and my studio is WildHorse Studio.
I paint mostly pet portraits in photo realism using acrylics. I enjoy using the ArtistAssistApp to find the correct color mix, especially for unusual fur colors. When I paint wildlife, I like painting tigers, lions, and wolves.
ArtistAssistApp helps me with my lights and darks, adding interest to the painting through proper shadowing."

Access the Palette Directly with the Color Picker
The improved Color Picker was recently released. It makes the app much easier to use.
All colors added to the palette are displayed as circles of the corresponding colors on the Color Picker tab. This eliminates the need to frequently switch to the Palette tab.
When you click on a colored circle, the color mixture saved to the palette is displayed first, followed by new mixture suggestions.
This way, you can clearly see where you picked samples for your mixtures in the palette and instantly access the saved mixture recipe.

Select Different Replacement Background Colors When Removing Backgrounds!
By default, after removing the background, the photo will have a transparent background. But you can also see what your painted object will look like with different background colors.
You can choose the background color by using the color picker next to the "Background" label.

Meet Cass Glickman!
"I've become an artist later in life, and have been watercoloring for just 18 months. I'm still finding my way. I love color and have a knack for color matching, but sometimes I'm stumped, or sometimes I'd just like to see a different approach, and for that, the ArtistAssistApp Color Picker is amazing. I'm delighted that all of my varied color palettes are available in the database. I've also started to take advantage of other features, such as background removal, tonal values and outline. The app is really a whole package for setting up and navigating your painting experience."
—Cass Glickman
By the way, before coming to watercolor, Cass has been a ceramic artist for about 8 years.

Meet Julie Creamer!
"When starting along my art journey two years ago, I stumbled across the ArtistAssist app. It has been an incredible resource as I learn to paint, to get creative, to move towards abstraction, and most importantly, to "see" things as they are and not as my brain interprets them. My favorite features are the Color Picker, Tonal Values, and Inspire. I can't recommend this app enough to anyone traveling on their art journey."
