One of the programme of Reliance Foundation is “RF Information Services” (RFIS) addressing information asymmetry at different levels in different thematic areas in the form of providing localized regional language based advisories and linkages to experts using mobile platforms, multi-location audio / video conferences, Radio, TV, Print Media, cloud telephony based Toll Free Help Line 1800 419 8800. The purpose of the programme is to increase income, loss aversion, safety, better access of government schemes, insurance, reduce input costs and carry out knowledge based livelihood practices. At present the RFIS programme networks with more than 830 knowledge providers and 320 grassroots.
The RFIS technological platforms is also used for both pre-warning and post-disaster rehabilitation like rescue and create linkages between relief seekers and relief providers. To know more, please visit the website: www.reliancefoundation.org
