I'm probably the first one to get signed up for the 2026 Touratech Rally. I set my alarm for 11:55pm and waited until the clocked ticked over to 12:00am when tickets went on sale. Voila, I'm registered!
A lot of what has kept me from editing and uploading videos' the last two months is devoting every evening or weekend day when the weather is nice, is working on this cargo trailer. I'm gearing it up to haul my motorcycles. When I go places, I drive my dually truck with an Arctic Fox truck camper in the bed and haul a cargo trailer with my extra camp gear as well as my motorcycles and all the gear to support riding them. Here's an intro video about the trailer that I uploaded to my other channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0lopg...
I’m slowly making progress getting this new “moto-trailer” ready for some DR-Z hauling. If you are interested in seeing more details about it in a video, drop a comment below.
The old relic (2002 DRZ) needs some TLC and a few upgrades this weekend. New turn signals for the rear. Clean up this functional, but scary looking wiring mess. Replace the busted LED headlight that the wiring tangled up with the steering stop and sheared off, which was probably was the cause of the main 20 amp fuse blowing multiple times on my last two rides. I haven’t ridden this DRZ since the end of May when the fuse blowing problem surfaced. I’ve been on the new DRZ since then.
DR-Z4S Maintenance time…. Preventive maintenance on a new bike. I’m dismantling the rear suspension to lube everything. I’m also putting anti-seize on the chain adjuster bolts and a 44T rear sprocket.
This may or may not be of interest to anyone that watches my videos and follows my adventures, but I figured I’d share a few photos and see if there’s interest in a video of this project. I have a new trailer that I will haul my fleet of DRZs in.
I’m scrambling to get it ready for the Touratech rally in Washington next week. I’m adding a ground bus for all the lights because using chassis ground for lights is wrong on so many levels, according to my line of thinking anyway. Since the wall paneling is out, I might as well insulate it too. I’m adding a few exterior lights as well.

This is how I “moto camp”.
T-Minus 30 minutes to “first ride in the dirt”.
LET’S GO!
