YOU DON'T HAVE TO TRAVEL TO PROVE YOU'RE LIVING.
I think social media has made travelling look like a competition sometimes.
You see someone visiting 5 countries this year and suddenly you're wondering if you're doing something wrong because you haven't even left your city. 😂
Please don't pressure yourself.
Travel is beautiful. I genuinely believe getting away once in a while can be therapeutic, refreshing and such a great way to learn.
But it doesn't have to mean getting on a plane.
Explore your own city.
Take a walk somewhere new.
Visit a museum.
Try a restaurant you've never been to.
Take a day trip.
Go somewhere quiet and just breathe.
You don't have to love travelling.
And you definitely don't have to travel just because everyone else seems to be doing it.
What is somewhere CLOSE TO HOME that you've always wanted to explore? 🌍👇🏽

FIRST-TIME TRAVELLER TIP
Don't make your first trip unnecessarily complicated.
You don't need to start with a 3-country, 14-day itinerary because you saw someone on Instagram doing it. 😂
Start somewhere manageable.
Plan properly.
Know your budget.
Understand the destination.
Leave room for unexpected things.
Your first trip should make you think:
“I can't wait to travel again!"
Not:
“God, I'm never leaving my house again.”
And you don't have to start with another country either. A weekend trip somewhere you've never been in your own country counts too.
