From the windswept landscapes of the Outer Hebrides, flakebelly shapes songs that drift between psychedelic indie rock, folk-jazz, and the unstable terrain of imagination. Each project adopts its own language of sound, allowing tone, texture, and process to evolve freely.

Releases include The Orkney Tapes (2022), The Christmas Morning Outcome (2023), EPs Behaviours (2022) and Lo Fidelity (2024), the kaleidoscopic Apprentice Green (2024), and The Boy In The Diving Bell (2025), a 17-track psych alt-folk reckoning dragged through a battered 1960s reel-to-reel. In Parks Of Tall Trees appeared on Tom Robinson's BBC 6 Music Introducing Mixtape.
