Today, December 7th, is the 84th anniversary of the Japanese surprise attack on Pearl Harbor. Thousands of our Marines, Soldiers, and Sailors died in that attack. Take some time to remember the service members and civilians who died in the attack.

On 07 December 1941, the Japanese Imperial Navy and Air Forces launched a surprise attack on the U.S. Navy, U.S. Army Aviation, and U.S. Marines stationed aboard Naval Base Pearl Harbor. The Japanese sank or damaged more than half of the U.S. Navy's Pacific Fleet. The Pacific Fleet Aircraft Carriers were out at sea at the time. the U.S.S. Enterprise (CV-6) was slated to be at Pearl at the time of attack. Enterprise was stuck in a storm the night of the 6th, so it was delayed entry to the harbor
