#Hyderabad residents in several areas will face a disruption in drinking water supply for 36 hours starting this Saturday, due to major repair and maintenance works on the #KrishnaPhase–I Water Supply System.

According to officials, water supply will be suspended from 6:00 am on Saturday, December 27, and is expected to remain affected until 6:00 pm on Sunday, December 28.

During this period, critical works will be carried out, including the repair of leakage in a 700 mm pipeline, replacement of damaged valves and air tees on the 2200 mm pumping main, junction works at #Narsarlapally, and repair of faulty valves at the #Kodandapur and #Narsarlapally pumping stations.

The water shutdown will impact several localities, including MirAlam, #KishanBagh, #Moghalpura, #Falaknuma, #Bahadurpura, #SantoshNagar, #Saidabad, surrounding areas of #Chandrayangutta, #Yakutpura, #Narayanaguda, parts of #Dilsukhnagar, #Aliabad, #RiyasatNagar, #Jalpally, #Tukkuguda, #FabCity, #HardwarePark, and #Manneguda, among others.
Officials have assured that water supply will be restored immediately after the completion of the maintenance works. Meanwhile, residents have been advised to store water in advance and use water judiciously during the disruption period.

The Muazzein of Masjid Al Nabawi, Sheik Faisal bin Abdul Malik Numan, passed away in Madinah on Monday, December 22.

According to Inside the Haramain, a Saudi Arabia-based website, Sheikh Faisal Numan’s funeral prayer was held at the Mosque premises after Fajr prayer on Tuesday, followed by his burial at the historic Jannat al-Baqi cemetery in Madinah.

Sheikh Faisal Numan had served as the muezzin of the Masjid Al Nabawi for nearly 25 years – from 2001 to 2025.

Known for his soulful azaan and unwavering devotion to religion, he earned a special place in the hearts of millions of Muslims worldwide.

He belonged to a family with a long-standing tradition of serving as muezzins at the Masjid Al Nabawi. His father was appointed at the age of 14, and his grandfather also held the revered position.
