I'm very sorry to inform everyone that right now I am no longer working on Project: M.E.R.C. 3 or any other animations. I still look forward to finish it and continue animating other stuff, but unfortunately I have other priorities at the moment. For those who didn't know, I'm already 20 and I need to gain skill and knowledge for my main profession and then get on the market and gain enough moneys to leave my parents apartments and be able to pay for everything my heart desires.
I really apologize for not living up to everyone's expectations and stalling the production for unforeseen future. I'm kinda like Krinkels now, but I hope to come back in few years just like he did lol. Other than that, I'm really thankful to all of my subscribers for supporting me and giving me valuable feedback. After all, if my first animation didn't hit, I wouldn't find out the joy of animating and maybe I would still think that I am not suited to be a motion designer. I will work as hard as a lazy butt like me can, and I hope that later I will be able to say that I grew as a professional from Madness Combat fan animations.
Again, forgive me everyone who waited, the wait has been long, and unfortunately, it has come to inconclusive end. Of course, I will try to develop quickly, but I can't promise it to take less than 8 years for me to come back to Madness Combat.
This post is a little random, and I will make another post like this one on the Madness Day and freeze this account officially. Thank you to everyone who stayed with me for all this time!
Hey everyone! Have been a while when I last time posted something. But why would I post something if I could spend this time animating Project: MERC 3, right lolol? I actually wanted to upload a video that would explain what happened to me and where I were, but my laptop mic just wasn't good enough for anything. Anyhow, as some of you know, I try to upload animations once per year, on 22nd of September, on Madness Day. Unfortunatelly, I am not gonna be able to finish my animation for the this Madness Day.
No, it doesn't mean that I am stopping doing what I'm doing, alright? In fact, I have been animating Project: MERC 3 the whole time, and I am not planning to stop. I have actually only done 1/4 of the whole thing, but that's because I was very busy.
If you read one of my posts back in a day, you knew that I got to the university in Saint Petersburg. Since then a lot has happened to me: I left the uni, went back to my motherland in Siberia and started studying for my job myself.
I'm happy to say that now things are finally looking up for me. Long story short, this was a very, very long year for me, full of changes and problem solving. I hope that most of the people who read this post will understand me. As I said before, Project: MERC 3 is coming, perhaps next year, but I can't say for sure. Due to current political situation, soon I might be mobilised to the frontline, where I would most likely perish. Might sound funny, judging by cartoons I make, but I am a pacifist, and I wouldn't dare to take someone's life even if my own life would depend on it. Especially if I was told to do so by fascist government of ours. But hey, it all could be worse, yknow? Living in a country with a fascist regime is never easy. However it is or will be, Jesus was not afraid, and I am not afraid either. I am just glad I can enjoy doing stuff I like, talking to people I like and spreading love around. Btw thank yall for 11 thousand subs lmao, even though I didn't do anything special. See yall on the Krinkel's Stream, comrads.
So, I have finished mostly all the sprites and finally started animating, and all of a sudden, an idea stroke my head. The thing is, I am planning to make huge battles which would include up to 20 people fighting at the same time. Of course, this would be very time consuming, BUT! What if instead of manually animating literally every movement every single character makes on a screen, I could use some pre-made animations to speed some things a bit? In Project: MERC 2 I used my own pre-made animations of shells bouncing and re-used them in the animation, and it came out to be pretty good (at least noone complained about this particular thing). Of course, I am talking about simple things, but just imagine how much time a pre-made walk of 20+ characters will save. Or just some idle animations, thanks to which I wouldn't have to care about those, who are just waiting or hiding on background. If you imploment those things carefully, it won't be noticeable, unless you use too little animations. I really want to know what you think about this idea. Maybe you will even give me a lot of good advices about how to create pre-made animations better!
A mercenary army from far East. Contains over 200 troops and a lot of vehicles (two helicopters - MI-24 and Hughes OH-6, several Jeeps and Humvees, several boats). Each soldier is equipped with gear and weapons purchased with personal money, usually in SNEGYR's own shop. To identify themselves they use a VSR-93 camouflage as a uniform.
This army is divided by 3 battalions, all of which have its own command. Each battalion has a certain amount of troops and vehicles, and is designed for completing missions of certain difficulty. Thus, fisrt battalion has a big variety of soldiers (generalists, stormtroopers, snipers, explosive specialists), and a big variety of vehicles, including heavy battle helicopter MI-24; second battalion has less soldiers in general, and instead of MI-24 they have a light helicopter YOH-6; third battalion has only generalists, stormtroopers, jeeps and boats. When main headquarters reseave an order, it's send to one of the battalion commanders, who then plans the whole operation with his lieutenants.
This mercenary army has its own ranking system, based on Russian army ranking system. Your career in SNEGYR depends on how well you do and how good you are in general. The higher your rank, the higher are your responsibilities and the higher your payment.
Despite the fact that all of mercenaries seek money, SNEGYR has formed a strong and reliable collective, every soldier is friend with others, every single quarrel is solved together. It helps the members of this army to differentiate themselves with other mercenary groups and think of themselves as a united force, not as individual.
But despite all that, Dr. Henry hired them above all others only because of their heli...
A mercenary team which has 7 active members (5 operatives and 2 pilots) and 9 reserved members (rookies, who are taken for easier missions). GHOST is usually hired for high risk stealth missions, sabotages and assassinations. Due to high efficiecy, the entire group is equipped with best gear and weapons. Weapons usually have suppressors, but can also be upgraded with optics, flashlights, lasers and grenade launchers if needed. All operatives usually wear light armor, as it allows to easily climb buildings with hook and be more mobile in general. The team also has a big choise of tools and devises, from binoculus and HE grenades to landmines and RC-XD. Operatives themselves are highly skillful and can surpass ATP soldats in direct combat, despite not having any inhuman abilities. Their reaction time is perfect, moves are coordinated, tactics are delightful. GHOST services are highly valued on the marked and are very, very expensive.
Luckily for Dr. Henry, he has more than enough money to hire this team...
I am mostly done with the new guns, though maybe I'll have to add some more during the animation, just like I had to add ruger and PPK for the references in Project: MERC 2. Anyways, thanks to everyone who made a suggestion for weapons in previous post. I've read them all and chose the most interesting in my opinion. Attachments are only for certain guys, most of the NPCs won't have them.
Now I'll begin working on new mercinaries and agents sprites. Write in the comments if I should stream while making those sprites, so you may ask me your questions and maybe give some advices.
So, it's been a while since my last post. The thing is, I don't actually have anything to share with you yet, but it's just a matter of time. Right now I am working on new weapon sprites. I have already made an AK-74, AN-94 and OC-14. That's not a lot, but I am already running out of ideas for guns. I will definitely make M1911, PM, FN SCAR, another version of AR-15, M9 and PKM. I want you guys to share some ideas for guns with me. The best suggestions will be accomplished.
I am releasing this post right at 00:00, so for some of you it's an early Madness Day. Anyhow, this was a very long and tough year for many of us, but it's finally over. Those who has waited for Project: MERC 2 the entire time may finally see it! And I will slowly start making a third and the final part of my trilogy. The script is already written, and I believe that many of you will love it.
As for the Project: MERC 2, I am kinda afraid to be blamed for placing too many homages in animation. But believe it or not, I didn't actually plan to put any of them when I was writing script. Those references were writing themselves as I was animating. After all, it doesn't matter how many references did I add, as long as they fit, right? I am also really curious to see Krinkel's reaction on a stream.
The animation will be published on Youtube later this day, but if you want to see it now, go to my Newgrounds! www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/815361
Just a couple of weeks and we'll get lots of new Madness Combat animations and arts! According to Krinkel's post, the prize pool this time will be even larger than the last time, which means that even more creators will be awarded with better rewards.
This time I hope to be top 8, but who knows, maybe I'll have to try again on MD2022. I expect to see lots of new amazing works. A lot of works from those, who are new to MC, perhaps? We'll find this all out very soon.
That was a long journey, but it has come to the end. The project is fully ready and will be published on 22nd of September without any delays. I worked really hard these weeks, as I had to finish the animation ASAP. The reason for that is I will be moving to another city for studying in just several days and I will not have access to my PC there. I have no idea how long it will take us to sell PC and buy a new laptop, so I decided to speedrun my project, so I am guaranteed to finish in time.
When I get my new laptop, I will continue working on my T.H.O. Archive series. I am not sure how my studies are gonna affect my channel activity, but I don't think anything can get worse at that point. 1 - 2 videos in a YEAR is quite a small amount even for university.
I appreciate everyone for patience and staying with me all this time. I know it can be difficult to wait for something sometimes, but if it's painful to wait, then it's worth waiting. At least I think so.
