On August 1, 2026, a historic event took place at Václav Havel Airport Prague. Taiwanese premium airline STARLUX Airlines launched its first ever scheduled flights to Europe, and Prague became its first European destination.

The inaugural flight from Taipei was a modern Airbus A350-900 with registration B-58506, approximately two years old. The aircraft landed with approximately an hour’s delay, but its arrival was still a significant milestone for Czech and European aviation.

The connection between Prague and Taipei will initially be operated three times a week - on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. From September 1, 2026, STARLUX will deploy a larger Airbus A350-1000 on this route, and from October 2026, it will increase the frequency to four flights a week by adding a Monday connection.

Dnes se v Leteckém muzeu Kbely konala mimořádná akce „Setkání století“. Návštěvníci měli jedinečnou příležitost vidět vedle sebe legendární Aero Ab-11 „Modrý pták“ a nejnovější český letoun Aero L-39 Skyfox. Akce připomněla 100 let od slavného propagačního letu Aero Ab-11 a nabídla výjimečné spojení historie se současností českého letectví. 🇨🇿✈️
