Barry Stark is a highly regarded 'World Snooker' Senior Coach. He has a professional teaching background with a wealth of experience teaching snooker. Barry has done a lot of work at the Academy in Sheffield working with both amateur and professional players. Most notably he has coached 2024 World Champion Kyren Wilson from a young age.
Barry can no longer commit to regular private tuition, so has decided to share his wealth of knowledge and experience on YouTube. The 'Barry Stark Snooker Coach' series of instructional videos are aimed at helping to improve a player's ability, technique and enjoyment of the game.

To all snooker fans out there that watch my YouTube channel, that have also supported Kyren and me on his journey to become snooker world champion, I wish to say a great big thankyou.
I am sure you will appreciate that even though I would like to thank each and everyone of you personally, I have been rather busy and available time makes it a little awkward.
Nevertheless, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all the messages of support sent to me via the channel, and social media, I now know why Ronnie bumps fists instead of shaking hands, I have shook so many hands over these last two weeks that I don't believe I will be able to pot a ball for the next two weeks.
I hope that Kyren's victory and the tournament in general inspires you to get that cue out of its case, that you have learnt something from watching the top boys play but most of all that you enjoy what you do.
Not all of us can be world champ, but one thing I do know is that the better you get, the more enjoyment you will get from playing. The sport is growing on the world stage, I hope that, even if it’s in a small way, you are part of that growth.
May I say once again from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU.

I was very proud today as Kyren Wilson reached the final of the Snooker World Championship for the second time in his career. I was honoured to be there and sharing the company of his family whilst watching on at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield. Here's hoping he can go one step further this year and be crowned the world champion.

The elusive video number 147 is to be published this weekend! As I sat and watched Kyren Wilson achieve a 147 maximum break at the 2023 World Championships in Sheffield, I couldn't have been more proud. Having known and coached Kyren from the age of thirteen I decided that the 147 video will be about sharing my thoughts and analysis, from a coach's perspective, as the break unfolds. I should also add my congratulations to Mark Selby who also achieved a maximum with both of them sharing the prize for the highest break of the tournament.

Phil here, Barry's friend. I couldn't let today pass by without publicly wishing Barry a very happy 80th Birthday! In my book that equates to 80 years of Barry's wisdom and teaching. Many of those years were about teaching and coaching the game of Snooker which is now shared with you on this channel. Happy Birthday Barry!
