I'M BACK!!! - OH MAN... After 5 years.. I'm finally in position to play drums again, quite regularly (2x per week), without immense pain... I can't begin to share how happy this makes me. DARN what a journey it's been.
This means I can FINALLY start recording some new videos for this channel, separate from the Live Streams I do over at Twitch.tv!
Question is..
WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE????
- Note-for-note Drum covers with transcriptions?
- Drum performances where I play my own parts over songs?
- Drumeo style-video where I listen to a track to then attempt playing it? (I did this on Twitch way before drumeo, haha!)
- Drumeo style-video where I listen to the track WITHOUT DRUMS and make up my own parts? (Done this on Twitch, too!)
- Drum lessons for various skills
- Song breakdowns and exercises based on the different parts
- As a Drum Teacher - reacting to drum performances and giving feedback? (either YOUR, or YOUR FAVORITE clips/vids/songs)
- Drum challenges?
- My practice/Warmup routine?
- The process of me learning difficult songs and then performing them?
There are SO many ways we could go about this, but I NEED YOUR INPUT on what you want to see.
GOOD TO BE BACK! LET'S MAKE IT LAST!

I just want to take a second and really emphasize how helpful I think these tools can be to a lot of you guys, if you're recording yourself or doing creative stuff in general. Especially the stream deck! I've been using one since 2019, but it's now more affordable than ever with this release of the Neo family.
I use it to switch settings, to change the volume, to control the lights, when I live-stream I use it for LITERALLY EVERYTHING, but for those of you who are recording covers - the ability to just hit one key to save the performance you just did, instead of having to actively record/stop/delete/redo every take is just magic.
I know the video is an ad, but I truly believe this product is an absolute game changer. So I just wanted to emphasize its usefulness! I couldn't recommend it enough.

Happy 2024!! Entering the new year, I figured I’d give an update on my arm situation, rehab timeline, and what you can expect from me.
QUICK RECAP:
-2020 May, overplayed drums and ended up with tendonitis.
-2021 June, recovered from tendonitis through physio rehab.
-2021 Dec, got injured drumming & working out again.
They thought it was tendonitis coming back at first.
-2022, Rehab treating tendonitis. Cortisone. Exercises. Shock therapy. Acupuncture. Dry needling. Different strategies. Nothing helped.
-2023 March, a specialist realized it’s likely a nerve impingement.
-2023 Apr, talks with surgeons and doctors.
-2023 Aug, surgery for impingement. Surgeon verified nerve was impinged, and fixed it. Optimistic timeline: 3-4 months rehab.
-2023 Dec, rehab going slower than they hoped.
-2024, rehab continues.
My nerve may have been impinged for many years, and the recovery time is probably more in line with a typical nerve surgery, which seemingly is 6-12 months from surgery. I should be able to get back into strength training rehab in the next month or so, and back into playing string instruments + practice drums on a pad in the next couple of months, but it will still be more months until I actually can return to drumming fully and reliably. When I can start, I’ll have to start light, spread out, and carefully. And so while I’m hopefully just a month or so away from starting to play music again, it’s probably a couple of months more until I start drumming lightly, and probably a couple of months more after that before I can drum more reliably.
This means that this now 3.5 year long injury journey continues on, and that I won’t be full-on drumming in the very near future. But music activities in general are definitely returning soon.
I can’t wait to get back to music. I can’t wait to get back to drumming. But I have to take it slow and do it right.. the surgery seemingly fixed the issue, fingers crossed, and if I take the time to recover, I should be able to finally play normally again later this year. And I can’t wait for that moment. I wanted to let you know where my recovery is at, that we’re still months away from full-on-drums, but I haven’t given up ♥️

💪🏻 arm update 💪🏻
Stitches have been removed and soon starts the rehab journey of physiotherapy. Can’t wait to get back behind the drums, and back into the gym 😅
Progress is being made! 🙌🏻
Thank you for baring with me. Hopefully back active on YouTube with new covers and lessons by the end of the year! Until then, I’m still streaming on TwitchTV (not playing, obviously 😅) if you wanna hang and chat!

🏥 Surgery went well and the surgeon says it looks very promising after having a look inside and “released” the nerve. Fingers crossed!
The road to recovery will take a few months, but most likely back to drumming full time by the end of the year! 🙌🏻
Thank you all for the kind words and wishes. It was a pleasure to read amidst the 6 puking events 😅🥲

About to go under. Anesthesia here we go.
3 years of arm problems. Tendonitis and nerve impingement. Hopefully this’ll be the end of it.
I just want to play drums 😅
