Update from the mountains ❄️

We knew about the Christmas storm, and we chose to stay down in the valley with our families, as the cabin isn’t fully ready for everyone yet.

We also let a few sunny days pass to allow the snow to start melting, but most of the trail remains in the shade, so conditions are still challenging.

Over the next few days, I’ll try to reach the cabin on foot. There are likely some issues with the solar systems due to snow and freezing temperatures—some of our cameras are currently unreachable—but one backup connection is still active and, from what we can see for now, the structure appears to be intact.

It will be a new challenge, especially sharing videos from up there, but on My Wild Life – Italia we never give up.

Aggiornamento dalla montagna ❄️

Sapevamo della bufera di Natale e abbiamo scelto di restare a valle con le nostre famiglie, anche perché la baita non è ancora pronta per tutti.

Abbiamo anche lasciato passare qualche giorno di sole per favorire lo scioglimento della neve, ma gran parte del tragitto resta in ombra e le condizioni sono ancora impegnative.

Nei prossimi giorni proverò a raggiungere la baita a piedi. Ci sono probabilmente dei problemi ai sistemi solari dovuti alla neve ed al gelo —alcune telecamere non sono più raggiungibili—ma un collegamento di backup è rimasto attivo e, per quello che possiamo vedere al momento, pare che la struttura sia integra.

Sarà una nuova sfida, soprattutto nel condividere i video da lassù, ma su My Wild Life – Italia non si molla mai.

Vi auguriamo una fine d’anno serena.

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas 🎄
A heavy snowstorm has covered the valley with nearly half a meter of snow, and for now reaching the cabin isn’t possible.
We’ll try again in a few days.

In the meantime, we’re enjoying a quiet day with family.

See you on Sunday the 28th with a 2025 recap video.

Una forte tormenta ha coperto la valle con quasi mezzo metro di neve e, al momento, raggiungere la baita non è possibile.
Ci riproveremo tra qualche giorno.
