Real Talks With B
There was a time when I could barely look at myself in the mirror, let alone say something kind. Every compliment felt awkward, forced, almost embarrassing. But the more I kept showing up…the more I faced the woman staring back at me…the easier it became to soften my voice, shift my tone, and offer myself the gentleness I’d been waiting on from everyone else.
Little by little, the mirror stopped feeling like a place of judgment. It became a place of truth. A place of healing. And now? Now I can look at the woman in the mirror with real love. Real respect. Real tenderness. And I’ve made a promise to her—a promise to protect her with my choices, my boundaries, my rest, my words, and my actions.
And if you’re reading this, I pray the same for you. I pray you learn to see yourself with compassion at whatever stage you’re in. I pray you speak to yourself like someone worth staying alive for. And I hope you remember this one thing: no matter what happens, you have you. And that is more powerful than you think.💕🪞
