I'm Mike.. a West-Coast Canadian who has worked abroad since 1992. In fact, I started working abroad even before there was an Internet. So I have a few things to share about how to make this all happen for you.
I've been based mostly in Japan, Thailand, and the Philippines, and I've traveled all around Southeast Asia, usually in search of the perfect beach and the most perfectly chilled beer to enjoy the most perfect sunsets. And all the while, I'll have my computer with me to work in the daytime doing software development ( ▶️ native), which is my actual job.

My Vietnam-expert buddy just dropped this explanation and review of the medical system and hospitals in the Vietnam. As a 60-year-old guy, this was useful. And like Thailand, what a difference it makes if you aim for lower tier (but still good hospitals) for your out-of-pocket treatments! I have another motivation now to up my language skills lol
