✨Something magical happened overnight…✨
Our honey gourami babies hatched! And now Dad has officially taken over half the tank - like there’s an invisible line no one dares cross.

He’s guarding his fry with such intensity, and it’s incredible to watch the other fish respectfully cluster on the other side, as if they just know.

Tiny, barely visible fry float gently near the nest, and Papa is keeping watch like a true warrior. 💛🐟

Nature is amazing. And yes, I did take a photo of this mysterious underwater border.

We have shrimp babies! 🦐💕

A couple of weeks ago, I moved two berried yellow neocaridinas and one red into our new shrimp tank - and one of the yellows wasted no time! She hatched straight away, and now we have tiny shrimp fry exploring the tank! They were only about 1mm and pretty much invisible when they hatched, but now they’re around 5mm long and starting to get easier to spot (pictures with my finger for scale purposes 😅)

We’ve still got one more yellow and one red berried in the shrimp tank, and another red carrying eggs in the community tank - so it’s just the start! Can’t wait to see what colours we get 🧡💛❤️

How do you keep your cool-water fish comfortable during a heatwave?

A few of my tanks have crept up to 26°C this week and some of the fish (especially the cooler-water species) are not loving it 🥵💧

I’ve dimmed the lights, added extra surface agitation, and kept lids slightly open — but I’d love to hear your tips too!
