Update time.

Well, I'm finally out of the addictive hole that was Sonic Racing Crossworlds. While I'm far from done with that game and video content I can get out of it, at least now it won't take over me for the time being. So now it's time to get back on track with my plans for the rest of the year.

Coming up real soon, I have a remake of the first part of my Mario Kart World playthrough to accommodate for the UFO update.

As for my Kirby and the Forgotten Land videos covering the Star-Crossed Worlds content. I might end up expanding things and just do a full on Anew playthrough of the whole game. Viewership of the original run ended up within expected parameters on my channel to warrant this reasoning.

Though because of this and other games/events looking to get in my way (chief among them being Kirby Air Riders), there's a good chance my DK Bananza playthrough won't be until the start of 2026. Until I have something of actual substance to report on these projects, this will be the last time I mention them in my posts.

Just a quick heads up on my next video which I will attempt to upload within the next day or two.

It'll be a single 6 1/2 hour long version of the Mario Kart World P-Switch mission mirror mode videos I've published last week. It will be BY FAR the longest video I've ever put out for my channel!

Whether you want to watch that or the 8 to 9 separate parts to get the full experience of P-Switch missions in mirror mode, I'll leave that to you.

I guess I grossly underestimated just how big of an endeavor MKW's free roam collectable would be. Fortunately my next playthrough will be a lot simpler and shorter with Kirby and the Forgotten Land's Switch 2 add-on levels from what I just played.

On a related note, If Super Mario Bros Wonder's Switch 2 edition has any meaningful single player content worth tackling, I may cover that if I'm still doing video content by the time it releases.

(Well I guess it's do or die time for this project, huh...)

Oh, sorry! Just thinking to myself. Anyhoo, time for a new playthrough to begin starting tomorrow! This time it will be Mario Kart World and its free roam collectables (along with the game's other unlockables at the start). The main gimmick here is that it'll be done in mirror mode.

In case you're not informed, after you unlock mirror mode, you can then go through the stain glass window in Peach Stadium, like in Mario 64, and flip the whole overworld horizontally.

While I'm still finishing the last few parts of the overall playthrough, I'd rather not let it linger for too long before moving on to the next thing. So here you go!

Update time!

So things have been a little quite around here, hasn't it? Well after I completed my blind playthrough of DK Bananza, I decided to catch up on my little side hobby involving music editing. One of my little passion projects within this hobby as of late was to gather up as much music from the Donkey Kong series, along with the modern Mario Kart titles as I would feel satisfied for my collection. I... ended up getting a little carried away with the scope of what I wanted to get for the time being.

Well now I finally feel ready to get back to video production! Though I'm going to pivot a little from my old plans. Speaking of Mario Kart, I'm going to first do a little playthrough of some stuff in Mario Kart World and its free roam collectables. Then since it'll likely be out by then, I'm going to tackle Kirby and the Forgotten Land's Switch 2 additions. You'll find that in the playlist of my old playthrough when they get made and uploaded. Afterwards will be my DK Bananza playthrough.

Apologies again for the slow burn recently, so time make up for lost ground!

Small update:

I'm currently on the last few days of my vacation. Once I get back, I'm going to wrap up the remaining Mario Party videos that were left lingering after the Switch 2 launch party. By that time, Donkey Kong Bananza should be close to releasing. That will be my next playthrough. I will later update on my plans after that.

Plans for the immediate future.

So we are now less than two weeks from both the Switch 2's launch and Mario Kart World's release. As a note about the new system's power: Although it can run a 4K resolution or something high up and 120fps, I'm not sure my aging computer can handle trying to record at those stats. So I'm going to stay at my current standard of 1080p, 60fps for the time being.

Though we don't have much longer to wait for the system, I'm not sitting on my thumbs in regards to channel content. I'm "cooking" up some standalone videos that will be going out soon. Most of them will be from a certain spinoff series.

Update time.

The month of April has been a pretty busy one for me as I declared it to be the month where things get done. Mainly finishing up on a few personal goals I wanted to take care of in games like Splatoon 3, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, the recent F-Zero 99 update, and one other game I won't mention at the moment. While I could have waited to do them later, I'd rather have dealt with them now for closure and make it so I can move on to other business with no further distractions.

One such business is finally completing my Sonic Frontiers playthrough for my channel. To be honest, it should NOT have taken me so long to get this playthrough done, but I'm now in the final stages of development and it WILL go up very soon. From there, I'll decide on what my next playthrough shall be, so stay tuned for that (if you're really interested in keeping up with my work specifically).

One other big thing to have taken care of in this month was securing my pre-order for a Switch 2. I did say things along the lines of not wanting to dedicate too much time and effort on Switch 2 games unless they really caught my eye. Well I am a big Donkey Kong fan, so that speaks for itself regarding DK Bananza in July. As for Mario Kart World, I suppose I'll do an online series for it. I don't know if it'll be as big of one as 8 Deluxe turned out to be, but we'll see.

Small update time.

I mentioned that Sonic Frontiers will be my next playthrough some time ago. Progress on it has reached a great point, but getting there proved to be unusually troublesome. At one point, my save data got corrupted (ironic if you know the game) and I had to spend time beating the whole game again for a crucial ability I use throughout the recorded playthrough.

As for when I'll have it finished. I plan on this month or the next, but I do have something small I can upload for my 15th anniversary of my channel on March 11th. It won't be the one I had in mind for the celebration, but production on that had to be pushed back to focus on Frontiers. I'll be on vacation for a week, but I hope to get close to uploading the playthrough afterwards.

After I do Frontiers, I'm definitely doing a smaller game on my bucket list to make up for a slow start to the year.

Just a small notice. Splatoon 3 will be rerunning the chocolate splatfest from 2 years ago. As it is a fest theme I've already covered, I'm not doing an extra online set video on it. Only the seasonal reruns with new themes will be covered.
