Hi, we’re Della and Scobie! For nearly four years, we’ve lived on the road full-time with our cats, Marjorie and Cowboy. At the start of the pandemic, we left San Francisco and began full time travel to build a life rich in experiences.
Scobie holds a BA in Environmental Studies, and Della earned a BA in Anthropology. We met working in the nonprofit environmental sector and now both work for America’s first Indigenous led and founded land and water conservation nonprofit.
We’re passionate about protecting nature and culture, believing a just future for all depends on returning land and water stewardship to Indigenous hands. Our travels keep our creative fires stoked and deepen our connection to the earth.
'Oasis' honors Della’s desert upbringing on Cahuilla ancestral land, and 'Glacier' reflects Scobie’s Lingít heritage in Southeast Alaska.
On our social media channels we thoughtfully document and share the ecological, historical, and personal stories of the places we go.

Our friends!! I'm so sorry we ghosted you... things have been crazy. We've been back to Alaska 2 more time and are actually heading up there again in May! We got married! We got a new rig! (check the new channel banner for a sneak peak at this! I (Della) got a full time job working with Scobie at an amazing non-profit org! And we will share more about all of this soon :)
Getting a full time job has made doing my freelance and social media work incredibly hard. BUT I feel like I am finally adjusted to it all and am ready to get back to posting here! Definitely less frequently than when I was posting weekly, but I do want to keep using this account to share our videos with you all and just to document for our future selves and family/friends!
Back when I first started here I put a lot of pressure on myself to post weekly, be a content creator, make this my job, etc and completely burnt myself out. I have taken a step back to reflect and recalibrate and have realized that that's just not me, and because that pressure is no longer looming over me, I am ready to use this space as a purely creative artistic outlet where our body of video work will live and be posted when we feel like it. I'm not a content creator, I'm an artist and that's ok! Not everything we love to do has to be turned into a way to make money.
Those of you who are still here, thank you so much for waiting for us. Those of you who have joined in our absence, wow thank you for believing in us! It means a lot. Since 2023 I've been working on a video of our 2nd trip to Alaska, which turned into the story of us getting our new rig and the reasons behind the change. I am almost done with that video and will share it here in the coming weeks. Thank you for being here with us, the photo attached to this post is from our elopement on the winter solstice on December 21st 2024 :)

Della here with a few updates to share! We wanted to let you know that we just posted all the film we shot in Alaska on our website this morning (although there may be a few pictures on the roll thats still in our camera that we will add asap) and we have also made a fun little instagram reel of some of the photos (we might also post a YouTube short of it)

Our next video is still in the works as of now, but we hope to have it up by next weekend! We've had a lot on our plates recently with the holiday, Scobie working a ton, and I have been working on ripping the scamp apart for a 3rd round of renovations (I know, but hopefully the 3rd time is the charm?). I am reparing the broken window and replacing our subfloor in the front bench area and back bed area due to some water damage that happened in Alaska ( its a long story that I will definitely share in a future video). I lost a few days of work because I fell down some stairs and hurt my elbow, hip and ribcage all on my right side, which made it impossible to renovate and challenging to work on the computer, but I am feeling much better now! Luckily I am just bruised and sore and didn't break any bones :-)
Just wanted to check in with you all and let you know we're thinking of our wonderful YouTube friends today and can't wait to share the next video! Thank you all for your support, it's so very appreciated.

Hi Friends,
We will be posting a new video tomorrow! We were slightly delayed in releasing one this week because someone broke into the scamp on Saturday, so we spent all Sunday fixing the damage and installing a new lock. Luckily nothing super important to us was taken, and more importantly the three of us are safe. We were not in the scamp when this happened. We're so excited to share more from Haines and what we got up to after!

Hi friends! We made it back to California last night. Woo! 4 days of driving got us all the way from Grande Prairie, Alberta to the SF Bay Area. We are attending a wedding this weekend so we will likely take this weekend off posting a video, but we really want to have the next episode up by next weekend. It will show our time in Haines, Alaska. Super excited to share that part of our journey.
