Alexander Mercouris of "The Duran" was one of the conference speakers and round table discussion participants at the International forum in Pskov, "On this we stand", where I am one of the organizers. In this video he discusses Russian realities and Western stereotypes about Russia. The main subject of the forum was Russophobia, its origins and history, as well as its meaning and role today. Seeing international experts, academic scolars, journalists, publicists and activists from 12 countries discuss the subject alongside their Russian counterparts was instructive and beneficial to all. Besides the conference, the forum included a classical, ethnic and pop musical program by international and local artists. The region of Pskov is one of Russia's most ancient (first mentioned in 903 a.d.), bearing a rich testimony of geopolitics, culture and history throughout centuries. Today it borders Estonia, Latvia and Belarus.
