Hi! It's been a while since I've posted, huh. In case you missed it, I uploaded a new video yesterday!!! I'm very sorry I was gone. I really didn't expect to be gone for so long. Without divulging into too much personal detail nobody wants to hear, 2025 has been a very tumultuous year for myself and the world at large. It hasn't been an easy year. Every time I was ready to come back to this channel and make more videos, something else would fall into my lap and make life too hard to squeeze my wannabe YouTuber vanity project into the mix. Additionally, over my break from the channel I switched from Windows to Mac. So I also had to spend time learning to edit in Final Cut Pro and not Vegas Pro. Hence the nine month gap and several cancelled videos. I was very nervous to upload the new video yesterday, but was so elated to find the response to my "return" to this channel to be so positive and uplifting. Y'all's response made my fucking day/week/month. Thank you all so so much, it means so much to me people seem to actually be excited for my autistic info-dumping. As for the future of this channel.... idk man. I mean, I know I wanna do more videos. But short of the inevitable Jackbox 11 review.. I'm a little unsure of where to go from here. I'm a bit out of practice haha. BUT, I am very excited to be able to get back to this silly hobby of mine. If anyone has any suggestions for videos they'd love to see me do, drop your suggestions in the comments. Otherwise, I'm excited to make content once again. I do want to take this opportunity to officially kill off my upload schedule. I don't see it happening anymore. I'll try to upload as often as I can, but the reality is that I'm no longer a 17 year old in high-school make videos in my spare time. I'm a full time college student with a social life and obligations to meet. Videos will be done when they're done. I DO have a second channel, ‪@melanytheprincess‬ where I just post random bullshit whenever I feel like it so there could be some fun uploads there here and there. Additionally I'm VERY active on Twitter and Bluesky if you want to keep up with any dumb posts I feel like posting. There's also a mostly dead discord server to join of nerds in my channel bio too.

2025 is a very scary time, especially for us queer folk. I truly hope y'all have been staying safe during these very scary times. Living through major historical events that threaten your livelihood and rights isn't the greatest for your overall wellbeing as I can personally attest. Please stay safe out there, and never stop fighting for your right to exist. <3

Hey gang, happy pride month! I wanted to give an update here as I’ve been extremely radio silent all year so far. I apologize. I’ve been extremely busy so far this year and a little burned out. I figured I’d just calm myself down and get my bearings before jumping back in with a pride month video or two. However, due to extremely disturbing and unfortunate recent events in my personal life, I have to just come out and say I can’t see myself being able to push through and make a pride month video this year. I might make up for it later this year by randomly uploading a queer related video, but right now I’m really not in the headspace to make a heavier video for pride month. I have other videos in the worlds I’m gonna continue working on, and additionally I may make some videos to coincide with the Switch 2’s launch tomorrow and beyond. But I have to just throw in the towel and abandon my initial plans for the month. This channel is merely a hobby, and until it’s a job I don’t want to force myself to make content I’m not emotionally up to making. My apologies.

Hey chat, really really sorry for the complete lack of content here. Fun fact, living through major historical events that threaten your livelihood and rights isn't the greatest for productivity. I'm gonna try to get videos going back up again in February. Terribly sorry for slacking on this silly hobby since November. I have several major videos in the works since September that I've been slacking on due to my personal life getting a bit chaotic towards the end of 2024. But I miss making content, a lot! I wanna get back to it. Something I kinda wanna do this year, especially given the current political climate, is make more queer related content outside of Pride Month specials (like the LGBTQ controversies video or the Trans representation video). I have a couple grand ideas for that but if anyone has more suggestions please drop 'em below! Also! Special thanks to @tonygoesdigital for the design of the new MelanyMiku logo! :)
