Riyadh, October 12: Saudi Arabia has faced repeated attacks on its airports this week, with strikes targeting Riyadh, Abha, Jazan and Najran, leaving several people dead and hundreds injured.
The latest attack on Sunday targeted King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, triggering a fire at the passenger terminal and injuring several people. Earlier strikes reportedly killed 12 people on Saturday and at least three on Thursday.
Attacks on Abha and Riyadh airports earlier in the week also caused casualties, while strikes near the Yemen border injured at least three people at Jazan and Najran airports.

US Imposes Fresh Iran Sanctions on 27 Companies, 22 Ships
Washington: The United States has announced new Iran-related sanctions targeting 27 companies, six individuals and 22 vessels, the US Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) said.
The sanctions target shipping, maritime management and trading firms in India, Türkiye, China, the UAE, the UK and the Marshall Islands. Several Indian nationals and a Turkish citizen have also been designated.
The sanctioned vessels include tankers carrying crude oil, petroleum products, LPG, chemicals and bitumen.
The measures are part of the US campaign to cut Iran’s funding for its war effort, missile programme, cyber activities and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
US officials said the latest action targets a significant part of Iran’s alleged “shadow fleet” and aims to restrict Tehran’s illicit revenue sources.
