According to Iranian state television, Baghaei said Naqvi’s visit will focus on strengthening Pakistan-Iran relations and discussing issues of mutual interest. The Iranian spokesperson did not provide further details about the meetings or agenda.
Baghaei also clarified that Naqvi’s visit is not planned as a channel for exchanging specific messages related to mediation efforts to end the ongoing war.

Israeli Military Reportedly Burns Government Hospital in Southern Lebanon
The Israeli army has reportedly set fire to a government hospital in Mays al-Jabal, Marjayoun, southern Lebanon, according to Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency. Lebanon’s Public Health Ministry condemned the incident as a “barbaric crime” and a “blatant, brutal and outrageous attack.”
The ministry said the Israeli military had been using the hospital as a military position before setting it on fire on Friday. The extent of the damage and whether there were casualties remain unclear. Lebanon’s Health Ministry had planned to rehabilitate the hospital and use it as a shelter for displaced people.
The Israeli army has not commented on the reported attack. The incident comes despite a US-brokered Lebanon-Israel framework agreement reached in June, which calls for a gradual Israeli withdrawal from Lebanese territory and the deployment of the Lebanese army in areas vacated by Israeli forces.

China’s Oil Challenge Deepens as Middle East Supply Disruptions Hit
China is facing growing pressure on its oil supplies as disruptions in the Middle East send crude prices higher and limit alternative sources. Shipping disruptions around the Strait of Hormuz and problems affecting Saudi Arabia’s oil exports have added to supply concerns.
The world’s largest crude oil importer is turning to stockpiles and seeking supplies from Russia, Iran, Latin America and Africa. However, sanctions, limited availability and rising global demand are making it harder for Chinese refiners to secure enough crude.

Kenya Cracks Down on Foreign Traders and Small Retailers
Kenya has launched a nationwide crackdown on foreign nationals operating small retail businesses and hawking, following a directive from President William Ruto.
The government says small-scale businesses should be reserved for Kenyan citizens to protect local traders and create more economic opportunities. Authorities have been directed to begin closing foreign-operated businesses from September 7.
The move has raised concerns among migrant communities, with some foreign traders reportedly considering leaving Kenya. The government, however, says foreign investment remains welcome in sectors that bring significant capital and create jobs.

The meeting followed more than three hours of talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow. Discussions focused on efforts to end the Russia-Ukraine war, security guarantees for Ukraine and the prospects for renewed peace negotiations.
Despite the diplomatic push, major differences remain, particularly over territory and Ukraine’s security arrangements. No immediate breakthrough was announced.

Iran Allows Government Agencies to Use Western Social Media
Iran has lifted a ban on government agencies using non-native, mainly Western, social media platforms to share official information, a senior government official said.
Abbas Pazuki, from the office of First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref, said the decision was approved by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and supported by all members of the relevant government headquarters.
Pazuki said the previous restriction had left government agencies absent from platforms where many Iranians get news, allowing rumours and misinformation to spread.
Despite the policy change, internet access remains heavily restricted for many Iranians, with several major international social media platforms still blocked or filtered.

Trump Claims Hormuz Oil Flows Recover to 18 Million Barrels a Day
US President Donald Trump has claimed that oil flows through the Strait of Hormuz have recovered to nearly pre-war levels, with around 18 million barrels per day (bpd) now passing through the key waterway.
Trump said flows were about 20 million bpd before the US-Israel war on Iran, while the International Energy Agency estimated that traffic had fallen to just 5–6 million bpd during the peak of the crisis.
US Energy Secretary Chris Wright said oil exports through Hormuz had reached a wartime record of more than 17 million bpd. The US military has also said it completed de-mining operations in the strait, although Iran continues to warn vessels against sailing without authorisation.
