ZURI FOUNDATION. Fabian C. Mwakabanje - Founder/educator/poet currently works as a volunteering educator in primary and secondary schools in my beautiful country Tanzania. (Rukwa region, Sumbawanga district)

Our mission to foster and influence the reading habit in a child.

The program started in Kigoma/Ujiji, Kigoma - Tanzania in the year 2017 at Bangwe Primary School with a total of 30 students (25 standard three to seven students and 5 special education students.)

By that time Fabian was volunteering as Communication Officers at Tanzania Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (T.C.C.I.A) 2016 - 2018.

Why we started conducting book clubs in schools? We get this question from people meet and talk about it.

When I was young, teaching never appeared to be my thing and I have never had desire of doing it UNTIL the time when I started seriously reading books at the age of 13. My father Christopher Mwakabanje has been a role model and mentor since childhood on reading.
