For those who like the UK linear TV captures I used to do a lot before I started finally properly preserving ITV endcaps, those aren't going anywhere! I know I haven't uploaded anything from that side of anything in a while, but it's not my main priority at the moment. I'll upload some stuff from that side soon though, personal TV captures will be uploaded at 9pm British Time whenever I feel like it, while online finds don't have a schedule and get uploaded pretty much immediately whenever I capture them.

Noticed a user named Lukesam on AVID has added the first Granada International logo found on Monster Garage as well as making a page for RTÉ endcaps! This is a step in the right direction that is brilliant to see, but I still want to edit stuff myself. Most of these are my captures as well, which I was previously against being on AVID due to my ban but I don't really care now. I think once upon a time AVID did blacklist captures from banned users but I'm glad they stopped doing that now.

If this user has Discord I'd appreciate him reaching out to me (nionsthetic07) or if he's anywhere else let me know. Some pages still need to be made such as TG4 endcaps, but I don't want someone else constantly doing the grunt work for me. Still, thanks a lot!

The Granada Australia manhunt continues. I've found a decent list of shows they produced but sadly a good majority of them are nowhere to be found online. There are two shows that very well could be somewhere, and I'd appreciate them being given to me if anyone has them.

First one is Australian Princess, the Australian adapation of American Princess, which not only aired on Network Ten from 2005-2007, but had reruns in a bunch of countries, such as ITV2 (UK), SubTV (Finland), W Network (Canada), WeTV (US), MBC 4 (Middle East) and Vitaya (Belgium). Despite over seven channels airing this show worldwide there doesn't seem to be a single episode posted online. There is a clip of an episode ripped from ITV2, proving that the show did air on that station. The next show is Come Dine with Me Australia, in which I noticed it did air in the UK under the title Come Dine with Me Down Under.

There is one site that could presumably have episodes of these shows, but I'm unsure if they do. Some of you may have heard of Box of Broadcasts, a site known for having several recordings of FTA UK channels, mainly BBC and ITV. To anyone that may have access to this website reading this I would appreciate it if you could confirm whether or not episodes of these two shows are on there (since Australian Princess aired on ITV2 and Come Dine with Me Down Under was on Channel 4)

The thing is, I actually WANT to have access to BoB myself. I've known about the site for several years and several of my friends did get access to it one way or another, despite the site mainly being available to university/college students in the UK. It's a very big request, but if anyone has a BoB account they're comfortable sharing with me my Discord tag is nionsthetic07 if you want to reach out. I did ask one of my friends already and all they gave were very vague responses which I can only assume is a no. Not only could it be a gateway to new logo finds, but I do have an interest in shows that don't seem to be available online anywhere at all and I'm pretty sure BoB has a bunch of those.

Over the next while, I'll be researching any companies I'm interested in that seem to have very little info/logo sightings online. It's honestly a life hack for instantly finding undiscovered logos, Fox World has always interested me due to how we've known about this logo since 2009, yet for years its only known sighting was on Temptation Island. It wouldn't be until the 2020s where the company would finally get properly researched and we'd find out more about it and its programmes, thus leading to way more sightings of the logo. Granada Wild was a division we had no idea existed until 2021, and while it hasn't been sighted on much programmes so far, we've found a couple of undiscovered logos researching that division. This is kind of what I'm aiming to do within the next while, looking for companies that need proper research on their programmes and hoping to find new sightings of them. Obviously I'll be starting off with ITV divisions, and later on I'll be researching obscurer divisions of major companies. I noticed Fox Factory has only been sighted on two shows so far, but I'm sure it appears elsewhere. I think someone else is researching Fox's obscurer divisions at the moment, so I'll wait until later on to search for myself if no other Fox Factory sightings come to light.

This is something I've done a bit before, at the moment I'm researching Granada's Australian programmes, my main goals being to find new sightings of the bylineless Granada logo (which I've noticed usually appears on Aussie shows) as well as the Granada Australia logo that's only been sighted on two shows so far. As you can see my findings have been uploaded to this channel recently, and other non-UK stuff will be on my sister The American Logo Archive channel. This is something I'm looking forward to doing, so I'm hoping we get a lot of newly discovered logos being found over the next few days. I sadly think I've found mostly everything in regards to Aussie Granada logos, but I'll keep on doing a little bit of hunting. There's a bunch of shows I've found that could have interesting stuff but they're sadly nowhere to be found online.

On top of that, I'd love to make a video showcasing the methods I use for logo hunting, said methods which I'll be doing during my researching. I just never have the motivation to do projects like this but obviously there isn't a proper logo hunting guide anywhere online so I guess it's in my hands. I've expanded beyond databases and I've been using keywords to get some obscurer stuff to pop up, so I think it will be very beneficial AND help those that also want to get good at logo hunting. I'll jot down any methods I use during my researching and make a video showing how I do them.

One thing I've been missing recently are the days where I would just casually scour the internet looking for old logos. This is something I still do every now and then, and you can find these finds on my sister The American Logo Archive channel, but back in this channel's early days a majority of the stuff uploaded here were American logos mainly sourced from full episodes of older TV shows/movies, old commerical breaks, you name it (think of channels like TheEriccorpinc for example). The internet is a bastion for these and I quite enjoyed casually looking for older shows online and uploading what I found. Sometimes I'd find some really good stuff. In recent years this has definitely died down mainly since I prefer looking for logos on TV and such, but there are other factors as to why this kind of content has died down in recent years:

- First of all, if you're aware of an interesting logo appearing somewhere, you search the name of where it came from online and find the original source with the same logo, it's not really that surprising anymore. Some finds on this channel I didn't find myself but someone else uploaded them and I wanted my own capture. It doesn't hit as hard as stumbling across it yourself. It's practically cheating in a way.
- You can find pretty much any logo online if you know where to look. Take the TAT logo for example. Known to be the most elusive logo of all time, but that October 1980 commercial video on YouTube with the TAT logo intact can easily be found. Congratulations, you just found the TAT logo! If you're limited to only finding logos on a streaming services or TV channels it makes it a lot more challenging and fun! Even if you're not just reuploading someone else's find and you just get a list of titles produced by a company, you still have a high chance of finding the logo.
- Finding shows can be a nightmare at times. Sometimes a show is too popular to the point where it's hard to find online. Sometimes a show is too obscure to the point where it's hard to find online, and sometimes the only copies of something online have the credits cut for some reason.
- Pretty much everything from this side of the pond has been uploaded by others already. I see little point in uploading this kind of stuff if others have uploaded it already. I do have much more fun looking for stuff not knowing what will appear than knowing the name of a title and knowing what appears on prints already. Probably what happens when you've been into this kind of stuff for more than eight years. In regards to UK/Irish logos, the chances of them being uploaded already is a lot lower, so finding something you've never seen before usually means no one else has too.
- Finally, some types of logos, even older ones, just don't interest me anymore. I'm not interested in logos that appear on original/older airings of something as much anymore unless it's something that doesn't appear on current prints. An original airing of Friends keeps the Warner logos but current prints don't, but both original and current prints of Touched by an Angel keep the Moon Water/CBS Productions logos. It's not as surprising.

This is still something I want to get back into however, but I hate how on/off this phase is. For a good few years now, it's something I'll be into for a few weeks before ditching it completely. One thing I have noticed is that I'm more interested in whenever a full movie/episode of something online is a print from over 30 years ago, or an old TVRip, usually due to its obscurity or the first copies being uploaded online being TVRips. This proves I'm more into older prints with a distribution logo on them/old airings than anything, but I just miss the days where I could casually hunt logos and always be surprised at what I could find or not know what to expect.

I'll try and get more stuff uploaded on The American Logo Archive soon, mainly the old distribution/TVRips I mentioned. I'm sure I can still find old airings of stuff myself instead of looking at other people's uploads. As someone into old TV airings as a whole, I do really want to look into buying more blank VHS tapes and maybe trying to have a nosey at people's DVRs to see if there's anything interesting logo wise that no one has seen before, so hopefully for once I'll be the one bringing new stuff to light. I know lost media is getting found all the time, and there's some logo combos that are outright lost too, mainly ones found on older TV airings of stuff. All I want is my logo hunting hobby back and me actually enjoying it.

Update on me wanting to get unbanned from AVID. It's a pretty important announcement too, so if you see this I'd appreciate the read:

Around two weeks ago, a friend of mine happily volunteered to help me get unbanned from AVID by contacting a staff member. There was one now staff member I talked to quite a bit in 2020-2021, so my friend created an AVID account and wrote on their message wall saying that I was wanting to get unbanned. The next day, he wrote back, saying that AVID chose not to unban me due to "administrative action on AVID and/or staff members in the past", as well as sockpuppeting. By administrative action I assumed they meant me having criticisms towards members of staff, mainly due to me continuing to ban me. I don't hate any members of staff there and they do a brilliant job at moderating the site, but I believe my behaviour did come off like that in the past.

I then asked my friend to forward another message to them, saying that I wanted to come back to AVID so I could create pages for companies that interested me. You know, to actually HELP the wiki? I also mentioned that I feared the UK/Irish logos would be very empty without me being on the wiki. And to be fair, they are. RTÉ and TG4 have no sections for their production logos. Ciné4 has a page, but just their current logo. I have a lot of knowledge on UK/Irish logos, and I was unable to contribute to anything.

Days passed, and another response came. This one said that the reasons for administrative action came from stuff that I did literally 5-6 years ago. One infraction mentioned was me being transphobic at one point. This LITERALLY happened in 2020. I had no idea about LGBT in the slightest, but someone came out as trans and started using she/her pronouns. I said "actually if you were a boy wanting to be a girl you'd be a femboy" and I think I said something around the lines of that you can't actually CHANGE your gender. In fact, I feel a lot more feminine than masculine. I don't want people thinking I'm still a transphobe when that was never the case.

One other thing mentioned happened in 2021. This one is a bit extreme, so I won't mention it, but some people (mainly trusted friends, who still like me too btw) do know. Think of it as stealing a lollipop from the shop as a little kid. You technically did something wrong, but you didn't intend to do it in a bad way. This incident has basically followed me around for years now, I know not to do it again and I just wish people would move on from it. Yes, it doesn't undo what I did, but for me it's not about what you did, it's about what you're doing NOW.

I know a lot of people who got banned from sites and were either very immature about it or are still unpleasant to be around with to this day. I'm someone who always learns from their mistakes, tries to be the very best I can be, and yet I'm still banned from a site for stuff that was literally over five years ago, when I'm not even a jerkass anymore. Said staff member also said these actions may not reflect me in my current state but still make others uncomfortable to this day. I'd also like to say that I was 12/13 when these things happened. I am 18 now. Why should I get punished for life for stuff I did when I was very young? One happened due to me not knowing much about LGBT, and another one was done without malicious intent in any way, although I do now know the severity of posting stuff like that and if anything I learnt something very important about internet safety from that incident.

I'm not even mad into logos anymore, but I've always loved preserving them and I've noticed a lot of logos not on AVID, just waiting to be added. But nope, 12/13 year old me is preventing 18 year old me from doing this sort of thing. Why should these mistakes from years ago reflect my reputation there today? You don't have to agree with what I did, I don't either, but I am not that kind of person anymore. The staff there genuinely need to see that yes, I did stuff that made others uncomfortable, but it was in the past, and I'm a much better person now. Even people I've talked to about this agree that I should be unbanned once and for all. I usually (keyword: usually) don't hate people for stuff they did years ago either if they've changed as a person. We all make mistakes and do stupid stuff.

To anyone reading this, I'd really appreciate your support and if you have any response to this, to add it. New endcaps are being found all the time and I can't even put them on the wiki all over stuff from 5-6 years ago. Absolutely ridiculous, if you ask me. Please do not send hate towards any AVID staff, I don't hate them and I know they're just doing their job, I just heavily disagree with their decisions to keep me banned, and I just wish they'd have a change of heart more than anything. I only want to be on AVID to HELP the wiki, not for any other reason. Not to make friends, not to interact with the members. Just editing pages, fixing any info, that's all. What's wrong with that?

A follow-up on my last post. Hopefully this is my last post on AVID for a long while, because I really don't want to make this situation worse. It has to be said however.

So I found a page on AVID titled "AVID:Guide to appealing blocks", which tells you what to do if you've been blocked on the wiki. It says as follows, to edit your talk page and insert {{unblock|Your reason here}}. The thing is, I can't even DO that as I can't even edit any pages, not even MY talk page. The message that shows up says to contact the admin that blocked me or any other admin to discuss the block, but guess what? Since I can't edit any pages, I can't even leave any messages on a user's message wall. What's the point in this if I can't even edit my own talk page?

The thing about this page is it doesn't even link to anything on AVID, you'll only be able to find it if you've actually gotten a message on your wall saying you've been blocked and it leads you to the page on how to appeal a block. I don't have the notice on my talk page, just a block notice when I go into my contributions page. So how'd I find it in the first place? I admittedly decided to Google "banned from AVID" (out of curiosity) and it showed up. So I do think it should be somewhere in the policy or rules so it's easier to find, especially if some blocked users like me didn't get this notice.

One of my friends will be trying to reach out to staff so I can speak to one of them. This isn't just me asking to be unbanned, but the fact that I'm finding it really hard to APPEAL my ban and get in touch with a staff member should be pretty ridiculous on its own. Again, I have nothing against AVID, this is just a criticism I have that they should really take to heart. I doubt any of this is intentional, but I don't want to be shat on for speaking my mind either. I never mean any harm.
