sub.Media is a small collective of anarchist filmmakers based on the colonially occupied territories of the Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee, in so-called Canada. We seek to spread anarchist and anti-capitalist/anti-colonial ideas, and provide material aid to social struggles through the production and dissemination of radical films and videos.

With the Orange One back in power and thinking of ways to strip people of their citizenship, we thought this video was more pertinent than ever.

We made this 5 years ago in response to the George Floyd uprising but it is every bit as valid today.

Fuck the police. Fuck ICE. Let's overcome our differences and fight together.

Help subMedia continue to make revolutionary films.

We are proud of InterRebellium. For the better part of a year we coordinated with anarchists and anticolonial activists in Chile and the diaspora. We were able to make full-length documentary about the 2019 transit fare hike uprising for under 2000 CAD which we had originally budgeted for a 30 minute film. In film making terms, this is next to nothing. We’re eternally grateful to the comrades who donated and those who volunteered film interviews and were only reimbursed for travel expenses and recording equipment.

The reality of the situation is financially we are running on fumes. We stretch our budget and use every dollar donated as efficiently as we can. We’re motivated by our desire to make as much revolutionary content as possible to inspire people to action, to educate new anarchists and to inject a sense of revolutionary optimism into our movements. The bulk of our funding comes from people just like you who donate 20 USD per month or less. If you’re one of the people who already donates, we can’t thank you enough. If you recently found us by seeing a screening of InterRebellium or a This Day in Anarchist History we invite you to check out the rest of our over 20 year catalog of radical media. If you’ve watched our videos for awhile and never donated please consider making a one time donation or becoming a monthly sustainer at sub.media/donate
