The Steinbach Institute for International Studies conducts research primarily on issues of international conflict. Ishikawa Masakazu, the Principal Investigator, is an international news journalist who has covered 20 countries around the world as a journalist for the Japan Broadcasting Corporation, and has trained and developed directors and journalists at broadcasting stations in Asian countries at the Asia-Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development (AIBD), an international organization in Kuala Lumpur. He also holds an MBA from the Graduate School of Commerce at Waseda University. During his doctoral studies, he researched innovation management at pharmaceutical venture companies. He is also a technical analyst (CFTeⅡ) (financial market analysis), so he will be able to provide commentary on current international affairs from a broad perspective.
