We’re going on holiday in June so having a weekend off has given me the chance to get some exciting done so I’ve decided to try and schedule the next few weeks in advance. Along with the holiday coming up, I wanted to clear my SD cards so I can film things while we’re away and for an upcoming camp in the lakes.
I’ve uploaded 2 so far but I’m aiming to have another 2 up and ready to go this week.
So far ……
Thursday 29th May 6pm “Harter fell | Lake District Summit camp”
Thursday 5th June 6pm “Solway coast | Kippford to sandyhills”
Yesterday was a class day on the hills. Took on the CMD arête and of course onto Ben Nevis. Couldn’t have asked for better conditions bumped into @Allysmountainwalks6462 too so had a good few hours crack with him on the way down.
Don’t expect to see the video for some time. Like a lot of YouTubers I’d say, I’ve made the most of this weather so I’ve got a few to edit before I get to this weeks trips.
First day of a wee mini trip we had planned for a while. Weathers held and it’s still stonking so we where able to do our plan a for the week. Today was Glencoe, tomorrow the big one.
I’ve got that much footage to go through by the time this comes out you’ll have forgotten I was here 😂
This is a question particularly for the other content creators out there. I don’t think I’m the only one that’s noticed a drop in views lately.
I’d say the weather plays a huge part, too nice to be indoors watching tv, and on a personal level I often watch my YouTube when I’m camping but had 5 camps in a row with no signal.
Anyway, I’ve no got the answer but in the meantime how’s about sticking your YouTube channels latest video link in my comments here, especially if I think I’ve not seen it and let’s see if we can’t get some traction going?
Would love to know your thoughts. Is it just the weather or is YouTube getting overcrowded or maybe our style of videos just aren’t as appealing as they where?
With the weather as good as it’s Been in Scotland there was only one thing for… a trip to the beach.
We had a stop off in Glencoe then heading to our beach location the next day. It’ll be a few weeks until this makes the channel but the footage will be worth it.
After a few weeks off from YouTube I’ve got my first video back out this Thursday. Actually got 4 videos in the pipeline and a few trips planned over the next week or so. Felt I was starting to chase my tail a touch so having a break has allowed me to build up some footage which then gives me loads of time to edit and not rush any through.
Gerelet Hill, a fantastic wee Donald top in the Moffat hills goes live Thursday 6pm. Out in the Asta gear Yun Chuan 2 and it’s my first look at the Glowmad light by Chillbeam too.
Sorry for the lack of footage lately on YouTube. Knew I had a few weeks coming up which would make it hard to not so much get out but then get the time to edit.
Thankfully I’ve managed both, capped off this weekend with a stunning coastal hike and camp. Hopefully something to look forward too on the channel in a few weeks inc a summit camp in the Glen Etive / Glencoe area and a camp and wainwright bagging trip to the Lake District.
Back to normal this Thursday with a cracking local camp up on a Donald top near Talla.
Thank you as always for continuing to tune in to my wee channel. I’m just a guy that loves the outdoors and wants to share that with you 😊

Solway coast - Thursday 6pm
Something a little different from my typical videos.
This week, myself, Caitlin and @Gointothewildwithsteve went down to the coast for a cracking walk and camp. Lovely area to visit.
Hope you enjoy the video, it has one of the best sunsets I’ve ever seen.

Is YouTube working???

Back after my break….
Took a short break from YouTube as I had work commitments, it’s also allowed me the chance to build up some footage.
Back to my usual time of 6pm Thursday with this camp up in the Moffat hills. First time trying the Glowmad light by Chillbeam too.
