Kuiu Storm star FIXED!!
Someone was kind enough to send me 2 sections of DAC poles so I’ve been able to repair the broken pole and have a spare in case it happens again.
All that’s left now is to get out again soon in the @kuiuultralight storm star. Think I’ll use the next outting to talk over the pitching and any potential mistakes Ive made and ones I’ve heard others make

A fantastic hike taking in the Storr and Old man of Storr on the Isle of Skye. Personally one of my favourite hikes I’ve done in a long time. Stunning views that I hope come out well.

Fresh off an absolute banger of a trip to Skye and the Highlands.
Kind of doing things in reverse order but you’ll hopefully see why once the videos come out.
Coming first this Thursday is our wee Celebration to the one and only Robert Burns. Featuring a toast to the Haggis, Some iconic Highland stops and a broken tent pole, this video should at least be entertaining.

“It’s good to talk”
I wasn’t sure if I’d have this ready for tomorrow night or not but it’s uploaded and ready to go.
Thursday 6pm for this trip into the highlands. Met up with @MontyOutdoors as we went a camp in the snow.
I wanted to yea this outting to focus on mental health. A subject we probably all at some point shy away from. As a result, I hope this video doesn’t trigger you in a bad way but maybe helps remind you that we’re all in this together and that it really is good to talk it out.

Happy new year everyone 🥳
First video of the year is coming this Thursday at 6pm. Starting the year off by ticking off a camp that’s been on the list for years. Always wanted to camp up here in perfect winter conditions and man did we get that. Joined by my regular partner in crime @Gointothewildwithsteve as we do sons snow building and of course, pan each others tents with snowballs.
Talking about last year too and things to look forward too for 2026 so lots in this one.

While we were up in the big smoke of Glasgow today doing some Christmas shopping I picked up a wee book which is a follow up on my post about goals for next year.
The Skye Trail has been on my wish list for a number of years so I’ve pencilled that in for next year. Anyone else fancied it?
