2026 Goals….

While we were up in the big smoke of Glasgow today doing some Christmas shopping I picked up a wee book which is a follow up on my post about goals for next year.

The Skye Trail has been on my wish list for a number of years so I’ve pencilled that in for next year. Anyone else fancied it?

We had ourselves an absolute banger of a night up at the Hydro last night at “Hoolie at the Hydro”

A brilliant Celebration of folk and Tradition Scottish music. Of course the highlight of the night was seeing Beluga Lagoon but the whole night was just fantastic.

It rained, then the winds got up, then we heard thunder followed by lightning. Definitely praying my next time off gives better weather but in all honestly, last nights camp was such a laugh.

Lately as you’ll have noticed my videos are not as frequent as they had been. I’ve never wanting to just film stuff just for the sake of it but to fill in the gaps between the bigger videos I’ve been thinking of putting together gear related videos such as “how I pack for winter” or “my current sleep set up”.

Simple poll then, would you like a little more content (camping and hiking related of course) or would you rather just wait till I’ve been out and put together an adventure

Just thought I’d do a little update on the channel for anyone interested…..

Not been out much lately which is largely due to work schedule but also in Scotland and particularly the south west where I’m at it’s been brutally wet which if you no me, I just don’t really go looking for those kind of camps.

Last weekend though I was out with ‪@Gointothewildwithsteve‬ and for the first time ‪@redmanwalking74‬ as we went for a camp on a Summit in the Galloway Forest.

I’ll save the reveal for the video but I’ve put this down as one of Scotlands most Notorious hills and once I explain I’m sure you’ll see why. Aiming for next Thursday at 6pm for the release of this one. Hope to hear from you next week
