I'm Pete The Wargamer and on my channel you can find a whole host of kit bashing and painting guides for Warhammer and other wargaming miniature games. For Business Inquiries: management@blackfly.media
As I wrap up the last few videos of the year, I want to hear your thoughts on what you'd most like me to focus on at the start of 2026. I've come up with a shortlist of ideas and I want you to help me pick which you'd most like to see me tackle. As always, if you have any suggestions outside of these, feel free to leave them down in the comments below!
Have you seen my latest Custom Tau Auxillary video yet? Well if you have, you may have noticed some new info cards popping up when I'm discussing what kit a part may have come from. I was getting a lot of questions about this so it was clear that the voice over alone wasn't enough to express this information.
If you have seen the video, let me know what you think and if you have any ideas on how else they could be used, let me know too! I'm considering adding them in to offer advice to often repeating techniques such as pinning and drybrushing. Just enough info to get beginners by but without breaking the flow of the video.
Happy Halloween to all you Ghosts and Ghoulies! If you're looking for something suitable for the night that's also extremely funny then check out Dave from @MSPaints latest video. It's incredibly well made and is definitely worth a watch.
I was sent a few paints from the new Mini Colour by @ArtisOpus and@cultofpaintso I thought I'd see how they work on my Raptors, and here is the result!
Everything you see on the model (except the base) was painted with the new Mini Colour range. I started out with Sangria over a black primer before building up several paints from the Warm Green Set.
A stand out for me was Sangria. I felt it reached a really nice level of vibrance over a black base coat without having to apply much at all.
I also used it mixed with their black to line the panels and it was incredibly smooth, as are all of the paints. Have you ever found a slight grittiness/lumpiness with some paints when you glaze with them? I didn't find that with these, they had much more consistent and predictable viscosity.
I've realised that all the images I've shared of the new Sorcerer's Spoils kit have been of them in a white void, empty of reference to other kits/parts. So I'm going to be posting a few of these "Bit Spotlights" where I've used the new components on more familiar miniatures. Here is the Folded Parchment. Each box of Sorcerer's Spoils contains 6 of these pieces and they're not only great for the your fantasy mins but also work great as paper maps for your sci-fi minis!
I've been toiling away in the abyssal depths of bureaucracy known as International Customs Declarations and have finally returned to announce that The Spare Parts Emporium is now shipping to Canada! That includes the brand new Sorcerers Spoils kit that is now available for pre-order, be sure to use my code BITS4THEBITSBOX FOR 10% off your boxes during the pre-order period!
Hello everyone! As you may already be aware, last year, I released my first plastic kit: Dead Animal Bits. But that was just the start. Today I'm very pleased to announce my second kit, Sorcerer's Spoils! Once again I have partnered with Wargames Atlantic to produce an entirely new, hard plastic kit that is stuffed full of components to add to your miniatures.
Sorcerer's Spoils, as the name suggests, is full of everything you'd find in a wizards study. Books, scrolls, parchment, candles, potion bottles and much more! It even has a cauldron with an optional, bubbling surface. So whether you're looking to deck out your Black Templars with candles, bestow some heretic tomes to your Thousand Sons, brighten up your scenery or provide some accessories to your D&D party - Sorcerer's Spoils has the lot.
Thanks to fantastic support of my last kit, I've been able to re-use the profits from Dead Animal Bits kit to fund the development of Sorcerer's Spoils which means that there is no crowd funding this time! The kit is currently available to pre-order right now over on my webstore and is expected to start shipping in November.
And, as a thank you to all of your support, I have a special discount code for anyone who picks up the kit during the Pre-Order period. Use the code BITS4THEBITSBOX at checkout to get 10% off boxes of Dead Animal Bits and Sorcerer's Spoils: sparepartsemporium.com/discount/BITS4THEBITSBOX
I'm currently only shipping to the US and the UK but I am working on getting European shipping set up soon. Also, please note that due to the end of De minimis tariff exemption, there is now a 10% duty on orders to the US.
While I'm busy finishing off tomorrows video, I'm also planning out the next one and I have a few ideas. But I want to hear what you folks would most like to see me tackle, so without giving away too much here are some options. As always, I'm keen to you hear what kitbashes and conversions you'd like to see!
No Livestream agian this week folks, sorry! I'm trying to get ahead with my regular videos so I'm currently focusing my time into those. Once I'm back on track, the Live streams will return. In the meantime though, please do leave me your suggestions for what you'd like to see me tackle in future streams.
