On the third day of Prayer and Fasting, we asked Steff to share some tips for a fruitful devotional life, which is today's prayer point.

Here's how she replied:

"I get up early! I grab a coffee ☕ and my Bible and sit and read while the house is quiet. I highlight scriptures which stand out, and I pray. Waking up early means I can give my best attention to Him and then to my family when they wake up!

At the end of the day, I revisit my highlights and journal the thoughts I've had throughout the day and the verses come to life and take meaning. I also pray quick prayers throughout the day before events and meetings, keeping God involved in as much of my life as I can remember to do so."

We sent Beccy a DM to ask for her encouragement on the second day of Prayer and Fasting.

Here's her response:

"As lots of us are heading out to work, education or volunteering today I think Deuteronomy 31:8 is a great encouragement. It says ‘It is the Lord that goes before you’.

Take a moment to remember that God has gone before you today. He’s put opportunities before you to show His love to others. So whatever your day holds, know that God’s got a plan for it and He is with you along the way! 💛 "

"This week's theme is all about fruitfulness in the everyday, including things like family, friends and the workplace.

So let's pray into John 15:12-14,
"This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you. There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. You are my friends if you do what I command."

So why don't we pray for the following?

🙏🏻 Help us to love our family like Jesus
🙏🏻 May we draw closer to Jesus in obedience
🙏🏻 Give us good friends and help us to be a good friend to others
