I believe it is every photographers goal early on to find their own signature style. Their calling card. After 15 years of photography, I believe I am just now starting to hone in on what that will be for me. Cinematic Photography with the beautiful textural and rich feel of Film.
The "Film Look" is an ongoing trendy thing right now, but for me this style isn’t about following a trend. I’d be lying if I said the trend isn’t what set me on this path. It did. Though through playing within the trend, I have discovered myself blending my love for Cinema, Film and Filmmaking with my Photography more and more. Landing me within this process of "Cinematic Photography".
For me, this process is now so much more than just applying a LUT and a 16x9 Aspect Ratio. It’s about going out with your camera, and shooting with purpose. Shooting with intent for how the final image will look and feel to myself and my audience. Shooting with the goal of telling a story within the frame, and raising questions. Was this a still from a movie? Is this shot on film? What happens next?…

Coming Summer 2023! (AUSTRALIA) Now in pre-production. My debut short film FOUND, will be the birth of a new Horror/Sci-fi cinematic universe 🫣👽😈.
This first entry will be a little to no budget film, filmed entirely on my Fujifilm XT3 Cinema Rig. My aim is to create some entertaining and terrifying content, and to prove it can be done without the latest and greatest "Cinema" camera.
Story, pacing, editing and sound design are key!
There will be a merchandise drop in the very near future to help raise funds for the necessary production costs 😁.
