India Today has recently released the State of the States survey for the year 2022 in which Tamilnadu has bagged the first place in 'The Best Performing Big States Overall' category consecutively for the fourth time. Tamilnadu is also present in Top 5 in 9 out of 12 categories.

Iran experienced protests after a 22-year-old died at the hands of moral police for incorrectly donning a headscarf. The state government of Karnataka in India outlawed hijabs at educational institutions. The Iranian protests were cited by the solicitor general before the supreme court, who entirely missed the objective of the demonstrations, which was the right to choose whether or not to wear the hijab.
