Episode 1 of the Kyokushin-kan International World Championship is up now, and it covers the full range of traditional karate in one segment.
Solo Bo staff kata to open, then a second weapon form built on precise, controlled movement. From there it moves into bunkai, where you actually see how kata translates into real self-defense. A group of junior students performs a synchronized kata that shows the discipline taught at the foundation levels. Then pairs and small groups go weapon versus weapon and weapon versus unarmed.
It all closes with tameshiwari, the tile breaking finale. One strike through the whole stack.
