Last weekend delivered some of the strongest and most consistent waves we’ve seen on the KwaZulu-Natal coastline this year.

Heavy paddle-outs. Broken leashes. Snapped boards and hold downs.

The countdown is over… the Ballito Pro kicks off tomorrow!

The first event out of the gates is the O’Neill SMTH Shapes Rookie Rippers, where South Africa’s best young surfers (U12–U18) will battle it out at Willard Beach from 4–6 July.

These young surfers are the future of South African surfing, and many of tomorrow’s stars will be competing over the next three days.
