What flavor if ramen do you like the best?
Shoyu? Salt? Tonkotsu?
We have a variety of ramen depending on the seasonings, broth, spices and style even local ones.
I’d say this is one of the genre, mukashinagarano shoyu ramen which means traditional style shoyu ramen.
The broth is quite light, simple toppings and curly noodles.
We feel nostalgic when we eat such ramen.

The ramen diner was started around 1950 in Ogikubo serving with a stall.
Try out the nostalgic shoyu ramen!!

Oh, what do you think of this plastic bag??!! I newly found out they have such a shape at grocery store.
I just happened to forget carrying a big eco bag.
So I bought a one.
The shape is quite unique that we could pile up foods flat especially some slice of meet for shabushabu.😚😚😚

What's new in Japan.

It was our dinner yesterday, crabs from Fukui prefecture.
It really goes well with sparkling wine.🍷
After we finished all of them, we simmer all of the crab shell to get some broth.
We made miso soup with the broth.
It was sooooo good!!!!!

Don’t you like eating outside alone?
In Japan, some cafes and quick diners offer some comics books to enjoy ur alone meal, so never get bored.
It’s kind of bad manner, reading comic books while having meals though.😝

But it sometimes makes us feel enjoying me time.πŸ˜™πŸ˜™πŸ˜™πŸ˜™

What kind of food would you like to eat right after you landed in Japan?
Egg sandwiches?!πŸ₯ͺ

Me? πŸ˜†
This is the one I feel I’m home when I sip the soup.
The bonito broth makes me so warm and feels relived especially in such a cold day.

As soon as I have sit, my order was delivered. Soup buckwheat noodle with deep fried squid topping and deep fried pork rice.(katsudon)

You could order the topping served separately as well to enjoy the crispy texture.☺️☺️☺️

Definitely you should try this.

What's new in Japan.

Have you ever tried β€œAmpam” which is red beans bread?
It originated from β€œKimuraya” with long established bakery shop founded in 1869.
It is fully filled with red beans from Hokkaido and whipped butter.
It really goes with red wine.πŸ˜™πŸ˜™πŸ˜™
