after my post about my struggles, so here is an update.

​Over the past 12 days, I’ve been doing some research and running a test. I uploaded the exact same content to two different platforms: YouTube and Twitter/X.

​I don't usually post videos on Twitter, and I have a very small following there around 2,690 followers which is tiny compared to my YouTube channel. But surprisingly, my videos performed better on Twitter than on YouTube, even though I posted the YouTube version way earlier.

​In the past, I was convinced that maybe I was the problem that my videos just sucked or were bad. But how can the exact same video perform so well on another platform compared to YouTube, where I actually have a long history? I was trying to figure out what the issue was and why my videos on YouTube aren't doing well at all.

​Then I remembered something: literally a year ago, someone mentioned a "shadowban." I don't remember who it was, but it opened my eyes—I didn't even know shadowbanning existed at the time. I tried Googling it to find more information, but I couldn't find much. Even Google Search claims that shadowbanning isn't a thing. Still, I was convinced something was fishy, so I asked multiple AIs about it, but again, I didn't find clear answers.

​Then one day, YouTube recommended a video to me about a BIG YouTuber who is facing the exact same issue I am. I watched it to see what was going on, and he confirmed that YouTube's algorithm can indeed shadowban a channel. It’s not a myth it’s the real deal

​I also noticed that when I tried searching for specific videos of mine on YouTube, I couldn't even find them. It was like the videos didn't even exist. I knew there was no way I had deleted them—one of them had 65K views! On YouTube Studio, everything looks completely normal, but in YouTube Search, they're gone. This isn't the first time I've noticed this either; in the past, I couldn't find several of my anime-related videos. I even asked multiple friends if they could find these videos in search results, and they all said no zero results

​I tried contacting YouTube Support, but they just denied everything. I showed them screenshots proving that my videos weren't showing up in search, but they insisted everything was fine. When I asked them to provide proof that my videos were discoverable, they said, "Sorry, we can't." I got super suspicious how can you refuse to provide proof while insisting everything is fine? Then, when I tried to ask a follow-up question, the agent said she had another chat and just closed it on me while I still had questions.

​Unless you're a massive creator with millions of subscribers, the support team doesn't give a f*ck. I've had issues with YouTube in the past over false claims and other things, but this is on a whole different level. I honestly don't know how to resolve this. I see channels that barely put any effort into their videos doing just fine, while I put so much work into mine and barely get any recognition. Thanks for that, YouTube.

​At this point, I think the best move is to make a video about this entire situation and address it directly with all of you and YouTube... But to be honest, my hopes are pretty low.
