The first recorded use of pink as a colour name was in 1592. In the 17th century, pink was mainly used for floral designs and it wasn’t until the 18th century that it became a popular colour for clothing. Prior to this time, most people only had access to a limited range of colours which were created using natural dyes. The introduction of chemical dyes made it possible to produce a broader range of colours, including shades of pink.
Today, there are many different shades of pink available and it continues to be a popular choice for clothing, home decor and more. Whether you prefer a pale pink or a bright fuchsia, there’s sure to be a shade of pink that you love!

To think I grew up hating pink 😅 but how amazing are these colours together!?
Pale pink – this is a lovely delicate colour that is perfect for springtime. It looks great with other pastel colours or can be worn on its own as a statement piece.
Coral/Rust– These are beautiful and vibrant colours that will add a pop of brightness to your wardrobe. They look great with neutrals or other bright colours, like my orange top.

I find that linen is one of the best fabrics you can have in your wardrobe this season. Linen is lightweight, breathable, and it doesn’t trap heat like other fabrics, making it a good choice for hot days.
