This song contains my wishes for my friends for the New Year. Happiness is to be able to see the things that make you happy and to appreciate them. And to deviate from that old beaten track from time to time to see something new. That's my theory of happiness.

Our neighbor Mrs. Schultz hated snow.

And I thought: How caan anyone be so egoistic? Doesn't she think about the children? We children love snow so much.

Nowadays I completely agree with Mrs. Schultz. Snow is an utter inconvenience, you have to shovel it away, it is a hindrance when cycling and driving, even walking and when it gets too much it gets in the way of everything.

Yesssss: it looks beautiful and the children generally love it. How selfish of me.

We all need idle time where we do absolutely nothing, stare at a wall or into the sky, watch a street scene or just sit and breath. That's the time our mind puts experiences into the right slots - or into oblivion, which can be so relieving.

I remember the old days. when you had to defragment your computer's hard drive, all those little colorful boxes that would appear in Windows: and the bits and bytes that belonged together would be put near to each other so that there were no unnecessary jumps to serve the required information on the screen and your computer was much faster after that.

I imagine that's what's happening in idle time of the mind and body.

Give yourself a little idle time today
Life is hard enough, take some time to play
Follow the clouds in the sky on their way
Give yourself a little extra idle time today.

For urban travel with robo cabs you obviously need an electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft (Wikipedia en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EVTOL ). This is not a self driving aircraft, but it is a step into the direction of my robo cab song.

"Roads? Where we're going we don't need Roads!" The famous sentence is from the 1989 movie "Back to the Future/ Part 2" as the protagonists are starting to reach the 21st of October 2015.

Time flies - but the normal means of our daily transportation still don't on the 26th of October 2022. We are still spending a lot of time in traffic jams in our cars: on roads.

Still: I believe that we will use flying devices even in local transport soon. But the thing we could not imagine in 1989: we will not own these devices nor will we fly them ourselves. We will call them via an app and simply tell where we want to go, including parameters like

- Can we share the ride?
- Do we have to go immediately or are we flexible?
- Do we have to go directly or are we flexible?
- What price are we ready to pay for a comfortable, fast and direct ride?

There will be considerably less accidents with diver-less cars, or flying robo cabs. And they would be programmed to be unable to violate traffic rules.

Our brain has old parts functioning in an automatic and very fast way, like how we react when we encounter fear. While that functioned very well in the old days of stone age it doesn't work so well in the complex world created by technology or political spin doctors. The ancient ways of fear and hate let us react in a statistical and predictable manner that is not always in our own best interest.
Often it is better to use the newer intellectual capabilities which are at our disposal only if we take a step back and breathe.
Did I say I need a haircut? But I don't trust the hairdresser.
