It pretends the deliberate civilisational choices of the founding stock who built the institutions, norms, and wealth are interchangeable with arrivals expecting the same standard without the same foundational investment. It pretends the founders did not care if it was their posterity or a random person who rocks up tomorrow who inherits the national wealth.
Everyone sees through it, but they must start treating it as the insult it is.
How ridiculous is this? You go to the Australian National Universities’ site and this is what you’re greeted with. No option to decline, just ‘accept’ you’re on stolen land. Aren’t universities a place for ideas to be challenged, not state doctrine pushed onto young minds?

It’s a marketing term used by the likes of Tony Burke and his colleagues as a polite euphemism for eroding every founding value, faith and people the Anzacs fought and died for, then gaslighting their descendants that this is what they stormed the beaches for.
“Modern” may seem like a benign indicator of progress, but it implies the current state of Australia is simply due to modernity and not the deliberate policy choices of people motivated by greed and disdain for Australia. It implies there’s nothing we can do, that we’re helpless.
We are not, the Anzac spirit is one we can reignite, and strive for an Australia that doesn’t need to be excused.

Didn’t they consider Australia a Supremacist Settler Colonial state on the 24th? Seems they conveniently forget they hate this country solely on Anzac Day.
The booing was fantastic.
The sooner we openly reject made up humiliation rituals, the better. More people should do it at more events.
