"he's a boy not a man" "a real man would never do this" Do y'all understand how patriarchal these statements are? If you say this then you are basically defending a man for his deeds. You basically saying that a man could never commit any mistakes. Why are we putting men on a pedestal? Instead of making excuses why can't we just hold them accountable? This single phrase is setting feminism 100 years back. Are we still believing that men= the superior standard? Accountability isn't anti-men y'all. I think we should just stop worshipping mediocrity.
