Psalm 23 says "The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not lack." You are God's flock, and He has the responsibility to take care of you. Although we are human beings, God uses the relationship between a shepherd and his flock to paint us a picture of His relationship with us. God leads us and He helps us find our way in life as we walk into unknown places and situations. He helps us make the right decisions when we are faced with confusing choices. He guides us by the light of His Word with wisdom and insight. He keeps us by protecting us from wild animals who want to tear us apart and devour our flesh. He moves our feet away from the traps that have been set for us. He watches over us even when we are asleep. He feeds us by making provision for us even when there is scarcity all around us. God is not limited by the resources we need, He has unlimited provisions available. He knows where the resources you need are hidden and can lead you to them. He knows the kind of pasture to lead His flock to. Your response is to trust God and obey His voice by submitting your will to Him. God will not force you to serve Him; He only takes the lead when you hold His hand and ask Him to lead you. #psalms
In 1 Samuel 16, why did Davids father leave him out in the shepherds field when Samuel came to anoint one of his sons to be the next king? Why did he look down on David as unworthy? Why was David’s oldest brother jealous of him, why did he belittle David and accuse him wrongly? David wasn’t intimidating or a threat to him. But the enemy can see things in you that you may not see. The enemy knew David had seeds of greatness in him. He knew David was a giant killer, that’s why he came against David so strongly to keep him from his destiny, but God was with him. There may be obstacles trying to stop you now. You wonder why it’s happening. It’s because there’s greatness in you. The enemy wouldn’t come against you if you weren’t a threat. But as a child of God, your future is safely in God's hand; and the challenges you face are about to give way to breakthroughs. So stay in faith, you will triumph because God is fighting for you.
In Matthew 17:21, Jesus said, “But this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.” Some things will not be broken without fasting. This is because we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual wicked forces in high places(Ephesians 6:12). Some problems are not natural situations, therefore you can't fight them on earthly level: In the above Scripture, the desciples of Jesus Christ were unable to cast out a demon from a boy who was dump and mute and often hurt himself by falling into fire, so Jesus told them that, that kind of evil spirit does not go out except by prayer and fasting(Mathew 17:14-21). Any sin habit(sexual addiction- ponography, stealing, telling lies etc), that cannot be overcome by your will power, or prayer, can be overcome when you pray and fast. You can also Fast for loved ones who are in the world, wanting nothing to do with God to be saved and come to know God. Also every stubborn problem that refuses to go away by normal prayer is a candidate for Fasting. Fasting is the spiritual weapon of the believer; you cannot win spiritual battle with physical means. The main reason for Fasting is to allow Heavenly intervention in difficult situations on your behalf. So when you fast by denying your flesh of food, dedicating yourself to prayer and worshiping God, warring Angels will be released to fight and win the battles that you struggle to win.

And when you pray, you are not speaking into emptiness. You are speaking to a Father who listens, because you come in the name of the One who chose you.
Father God, Thank You for choosing me before I ever chose You. Thank You for giving my life purpose and direction. Help me to bear fruit that brings You joy — fruit of love, kindness, patience, and faith. Teach me to ask in alignment with Your will, and to trust that You hear me when I pray. I place my life in Your hands today. Amen.
