I just wanted to share something with you all.

Maybe some people will think this post is unnecessary or even a little silly, but I really wanted to say it. I'm someone who overthinks a lot. If something stays on my mind, I keep thinking about it until I finally share it. So... here I am.

As most of you know, I make subtitle videos for KristSingto.

When I first started, I translated videos that already had Chinese subtitles. I always mentioned that in my description because I wanted everyone to know exactly where my subtitles came from. I've always believed in being transparent.

Lately, I've wanted to subtitle as many KristSingto event videos as possible because I know there are many fans like me who just want to understand what's happening, even if it's only a little.

But recently, I ran into a problem.

Most of the newer event videos don't have Chinese subtitles anymore, so I don't have a subtitle source to translate from. If those subtitles were available, I would happily continue translating them like before.

Because of that, I started using YouTube's auto-generated captions as my source. I translate those captions into English or Hindi and then manually edit them as much as I can.

The problem is that auto-generated captions aren't perfect.

Sometimes names are wrong, some words are missing, and sometimes the subtitles don't match the timing perfectly. I always try to fix as many mistakes as I can, but I know I can't catch every single one.

It's not because I don't want to put in the effort. I actually enjoy working on subtitles. I simply don't have a better source anymore, so this is the best option I have right now.

That's also why you'll always see me mentioning in my descriptions whether the subtitles are translated from Chinese subtitles or based on YouTube's auto-generated captions.

I don't want anyone to misunderstand how my subtitles are made. I just want to be honest and transparent with all of you.

So if you notice mistakes in my newer videos, please know they're unintentional.

The reason I spend so much time making subtitles is actually very simple...

I'm one of those fans who gets genuinely happy just by understanding a few lines from an event. 🥹

Before I started making subtitle videos, I used to spend hours refreshing Twitter/X, hoping someone would translate what KristSingto were saying. Sometimes I found translations, but many moments were never translated at all, and I always felt like I was missing so much.

Maybe that's why I wanted to start doing subtitles myself.

My English isn't perfect, and honestly, I don't know Thai either. The few Thai words I know are only basic greetings and a few words I picked up over time because of KristSingto. I'm still learning every day.

So thank you so much for always supporting my subtitle videos.

I hope this post helps you understand why my newer subtitles are different from the older ones. I'll continue doing my best to improve them whenever I can.
