Welcome to my metal detecting and treasure hunting channel! I'll be bringing you on my adventures as I save history from wasting away in the ground. My passion is searching for colonial and early American relics and coins buried deep in the forests and fields of New England. Buried treasure is literally everywhere beneath your feet... you just need to know where to look!

Hey, everybody! Happy 2026!
It’s been a minute, so I wanted to provide a life update that has stalled my video upload routine… I know, I know, it’s always something. Life hasn’t been kind to me for the last year and a half to say the least, and my priorities have frequently shifted as a result.
As most of you know, I’m a pretty transparent person. I wear my heart on my sleeve, rarely apologize for it, and live with my truth facing forward. Although what I’m about to share is incredibly personal, I think doing so might help someone else find the same courage if they need inspiration. So, here goes nothing…
Two months ago, I ended my relationship of 12 years. Very few close friends know about this, because that’s one part of my life I’ve effectively kept off social media since getting into the metal detecting scene.
There wasn’t a blow-up.
There was no “last straw.”
There was, however, a common denominator that I could no longer tolerate:
Alcohol.
In early 2024, I kicked a 20+ year habit and quit drinking for 10 months. I made it through my mother’s death, estate nonsense, and took care of my dad while sober. For anyone who’s struggled with alcohol, you know what a big deal that is.
Then, in late 2024, something just clicked out of place, and before I knew it, I found myself drinking again intermittently. By September 2025, I took a hard look in the mirror and said, “enough.”
I knew that the only way to stay sober was to leave a fellow alcoholic.
I’ve been sober again for over 3 months.
Now, I live next door in the in-law apartment under the same roof. I’m slowly but surely making this place my own, and my inner peace has been (mostly) restored. All of my time has been rationed into the narrow avenue of nesting, because I suck at compartmentalizing - hence the upload stall.
My ex and I have remained cordial and we plan to keep it that way. You don’t drop 12 years like a bad habit - you find new footing, share custody of dogs, and juggle logistics. It’s not clean, but it’s honest.
Bottom line: I chose health over complacency, and it is one of the hardest things I’ve ever done.
You know what, though?
I feel pretty damn great.
So, here’s to 2026: a year to be filled with health, MUCH more digging, regularly scheduled uploads, and new beginnings.

Alright, folks. If you missed this week’s Hoover Boys episode, Bobby suffered a massive heart attack when he already had pre-existing medical complications on top of it. This is a very trying time for him and his family. I am sharing the GoFundMe link below. Let’s help him blast past the donation goal.
If that man’s made you smile over the years, please do something kind for him in return! ❤️

Guys… I finally got out for the first time in 2 MONTHS today! This is huge for me. I was laid up with a thrown-out back for over a month, meanwhile taking care of my father who finally moved into assisted living a few days ago. It’s been a rollercoaster.
The relief I feel in being able to get back on track with videos is overwhelming. Life sure has gotten in the way a LOT over the last year, but guess what?

Sooo… this happened yesterday! And yes, I got it for the exact reason you’d expect: off-roading! I’ll need a few mods before I can really let this JK stretch its legs, but the journey has begun! Hi-ho, cellar holes - I’m coming for you! 🤘🏻
In other news, it’s been a sloooow season with some camera issues in the mix, but I’ll be back with footage as soon as I can.
In the meantime, who else has a Wrangler and what were your must-have mods for off-roading? Bear in mind I’ll almost never have a spotter along for the ride, so I won’t be crawling straight up mountains… however, cart paths with big dips and peaks are on the menu. What do you think? Lift on 37s? 🤔
