AI slop is everywhere and it’s sickening. Art is supposed to evoke emotion and make you feel something. Yet the AI makes things to perfect, too clean and too much the same.
I have re designed my website and my brand moving forward. I want to show the beauty of being raw and human. Imperfect but full of soul.
I want to keep the frame dirty.

Premiere day!

1 year ago we started planning our 12 day Scotland journey and today I get to show it live to a group of friends and family for my first ever live premiere.

As a relatively new YouTuber (year 3) I am actually starting to hate videos like these that are coming out every year. I made my own thumbnail copying the one on the right.
They all say the same thing all revolving around the same vanity metrics and lines, “you can be the next one that blows up on YouTube.”
Watch last years round of these videos and they sound the same, word for word, just changing up some things to pretend they account for new updates.
Stop chasing vanity metrics and just enjoy the craft. We can sniff out when someone is not being real in their videos and is just begging for views.

Today is the 2 year anniversary of my YouTube channel. 2 years of pure exhaustion but also incredible adventure.

I have never experienced as much mental exhaustion as I have the past two years in trying to stay creative and learn as much as I possibly can but I also never enjoyed the outdoors, imagination and adventure as much as I have.

2 years may seem small but it’s been such a huge deal for me.

There have been so many times I wanted to quit but the goal of wanting to be a better story teller for my daughter has been the best anchor for this journey.

I’ve got nothing else to say about this but that I can’t wait to keep going. Sure I’m going for 5 years which gives me 3 years left in this experiment but gosh I am excited! I’m excited to push past the burn out, I am excited to keep working overtime to be creative!

I want to try different styles of story telling, I want to release and premiere my first short film.

There’s also so much I can’t wait to do and the thought of being able to do anything with my camera and drone excites me to no end!

So here’s to the next year. Here’s to the next 52 weeks and endless possibilities!

No stopping now.
