The Alaskan Sunnyside Sisters are a up-and-coming bluegrass sister band whose sound blends traditional roots, contemporary flair, and a style of bluegrass they've truly made their own.
since the release of their debut album, the Alaskan Sunnyside Sisters went on to perform at the Grand Ole Opry where Old Crow Medicine Show invited them to make their stage premiere
they took home 5th place in a youth band competition
and continued to build a reputation for their honest smiles, energetic and clear vocals, and a drive and spirit that only siblings can create.
this combination of talent and passion has led to recognition as endorsed artists by Deering Banjos, GHS Strings, and G7 Capos, with the Guitar player additionally featured as a Gallagher Guitar Featured Artist as well

A Few Days on the Road
Last week, the girls played at three different nursing homes and memory care centers.
We had a couple of free days during our North tour and chose to spend that time visiting and playing music in these communities.
Big stages, bright lights, and applause are exciting, but it’s just as important to remember the mothers, fathers, grandmothers, and grandfathers who spend much of their time alone and simply need attention and kindness.
Music is more than performing — it’s also about showing up where it matters.
The smiles, conversations, and moments shared meant just as much as the songs themselves. ❤️

We got to walk the RED carpet at the premiere of “Just One More” in Franklin, Tennessee— an upcoming film releasing through Angel Studios.
Now before anyone gets too excited… no, we’re not in the movie 😄 We were just there to watch and support, thanks to a mutual friend connected to the production.
But we’ll tell you what—standing there in front of that big Angel backdrop, all dressed up, felt pretty special. Getting to meet some of the actors and folks involved in the film made it even more fun, and seeing the movie before it’s released made the whole night something we won’t forget.
It’s not every day a bluegrass band from Alaska ends up at a movie premiere in Tennessee… but we sure had a good time.
And y’all really do want to keep an eye out for this one—“Just One More” has a powerful story, the kind that sticks with you after the credits roll.
It’s set to release on May 14 on Angel Studios, and we’d definitely recommend giving it a watch.

Akulina is our guitar player and the one who has been such a steady part of this band from the beginning. She’s not just in the music with us—she helps lead it. She’s the one who keeps us grounded when things get chaotic, the one who knows the songs inside and out, and the one who somehow always makes everything sound a little more like “us.”
Being in a band together means a lot of long days, travel, rehearsals, and figuring things out as we go… and she’s always right there in it with us, showing up with heart and focus every time 🎶
