As geopolitical uncertainty grows and access to overseas ports can no longer be taken for granted, sustaining operations at sea is becoming a challenge in its own right.

This 𝗘𝗨𝗥𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗩𝗔𝗟 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗸𝘀 roundtable explores the foundations of operational endurance, from logistics networks and overseas support infrastructure to alternative fuels and onboard energy generation. Discussions examine how changing geopolitical realities are affecting access to ports, maintenance and supply chains, while growing power demands from sensors, data processing and future weapons are reshaping ship design.

The discussion highlights a fundamental reality: operational freedom depends on the ability to fuel, power, maintain and sustain a fleet.

Bringing together perspectives from naval strategy, logistics, alternative fuels and future ship power systems, this session's speakers explore the operational, technological and geopolitical challenges of sustaining naval operations at sea:
